Been testing Talkie Live for about a month now. It’s basically a chat app where you can meet random people from all over the place in real-time. Not gonna lie, it’s pretty similar to other friend-finding apps out there, but this one’s got a decent setup and feels less sketchy than most.
So here’s how it works: you set up a quick profile (takes like 2 minutes), and then you can start matching with people right away. There’s this real-time matching thing that hooks you up with other users who’re online right now. And you’ve got chat rooms, one-on-one messaging, and some basic profile customization stuff. Nothing groundbreaking, but it gets the job done.
Look, if you’re someone who’s looking to chat with new people or maybe make some online friends, this isn’t a bad choice. The community’s pretty active – I’ve never had trouble finding someone to talk to. But just keep in mind it’s got the usual random chat app issues – some fake profiles, people who ghost, that kind of thing. Still, it’s one of the better ones I’ve tried in this category.

So here's my take after spending a few weeks with Talkie Live. I've tried probably a dozen friend-finding apps, and this one sits somewhere in the middle of the pack. What I really like is how quick it is to get started - no endless questionnaires or complicated setup stuff. The matching system works pretty well, and I've had some decent conversations.
But here's the thing - while it's got a solid 4.0 rating, I'd probably give it more like a 3.5. It's good, but not amazing. The app can be a bit buggy sometimes, and the moderation could definitely be better. That said, it's way less spammy than apps like MeetMe or some of those sketchy 'friend finder' apps that are basically dating apps in disguise.
