So here's my take on Fing - Network Tools. I've tried out a bunch of network scanner and troubleshooting apps, and this one's pretty solid. The core features work really well - the speed tests are accurate and the device scanning is super thorough. And it's not the prettiest app out there, but it's packed with useful tools. The hidden camera detection is a cool bonus feature too. The only real downside is that some of the advanced settings can be a bit tricky to figure out at first. But overall, if you need a reliable set of network tools, Fing is definitely worth a download.

Description

Been using Fing – Network Tools for a couple months now. It’s basically an app that lets you scan your home network and see what devices are connected. Pretty solid if you’re into network security and troubleshooting.

Here’s what you can do: You can run speed tests to check if your internet is actually giving you the speeds you’re paying for. And there’s also a network scanner that identifies all the devices on your WiFi – real handy if you suspect someone might be mooching off your connection. And you can even use it to check for hidden cameras when you’re traveling, which is a pretty nifty feature.

Look, if you’re into networking stuff and want to keep an eye on your home network, you’ll probably like this. It’s not perfect – the UI can be a little clunky at times – but overall it does the job. Worth checking out, especially since it’s free.
