Description
Been using Firestorm for Hue for a couple months now. It’s basically an app that lets you set the mood with your Philips Hue lights. You can make ’em glow and flicker to simulate different types of fires – everything from a cozy fireplace to an exploding firework. Pretty cool if you’re into setting the right ambiance, you know?
Here’s what you do: you pick the fire type you want, then you can tweak the sound, speed, and other settings to get it just right. There’s also an option to turn off the fire sounds if you just want the lighting effects. And you can save your favorite presets, which is nice.
Look, if you’re a Hue user who likes to play around with lighting, you’ll probably get a kick out of this. It’s not perfect – the app can get a little buggy sometimes and the selection of fire types is kinda limited. But overall it does the job and is worth checking out.
Editor Opinion
So here's my take on Firestorm for Hue. I've tested a bunch of Hue control apps and this one's honestly one of the better ones. The fire effects are really well done and it's cool being able to set different moods with just a few taps. The customization options give you a lot of control too. Only downsides are the occasional bugs and the fact that the selection of fire types is a bit limited. But for what it does, I'd say it's a pretty solid app. If you're into Hue and want to get creative with your lighting, give this a shot.

Very nice effects but that's all it does. Like other hue apps it's limited to just what it says and that's it.
Terrible app, no soft flickering, effect of a kid playing with a lightswitch, not worth the 2 bucks...
Don't buy! It's awful. Essentially an orange light that flicks on and off in a very fake way. Save yourself the money and get a better free app
