EDIT: Looks like the app got an overhaul. my previous issue is gone. But now it won't let me log in no matter what I do. It knows I'm signed up via email. But there's no place to log in that way, only phone number and google account. Phone number asks for email and says I already have an account. Google account makes me sign in through Google but it never signs into the app...

← Back to First WatchFood great, app sucks Design issues: needs to be resized to fit under the notifications bar, or to override the notification bar like some games do. tapping on the three lines to get to the order menu=impossible. Also, tapping on the shopping cart/bag to checkout: nearly impossible, barely exposed, took almost 2 minutes. Bug issues: Certain pages, primarily happened in checkout pages, app ignores and overrides the phones brightness settings. ordering while sitting in bed sucked getting blinded.
As an avid consumer of First Watch, I must say that I am highly disappointed in the changes made to the application. I am not sure who made the decision to wipe all historical data for previous users and make us reregister as new customers. Second, the changes made to customizations makes no sense. All of the pancake variations is not their! If I want to order a pecan pancake, there is no option. There is no longer an option to write specific instructions for an order either. Please fix.
I was waiting in line for 40 minutes and the app RANDOMLY crashed and kicked me out of line. Tried to rejoin but would have been another 40 minute wait. Tried to call them to ask if they could fix the error and put me back in line and they said they can't do anything. TERRIBLE APP.
I can't even log back into the app after the update. I use my email address they tell me to sign up and once I sign up they tell me the email is already in use. I love the restaurant but dislike the app very much. In app experience didnt match well. buttons were covered and my view didnt adjust whenever I was typing in the box
Annoying to try and place an order before the place opens. was told many times it wasn't open even though I could schedule pickup. also adding the card has an error pop under the dialog. couldn't read the error message until I cancelled and lost all card information. additionally my password vault didn't work properly. fix your app. Newest app reset my preferences and made me make a new account. a lot of the apps elements are under the same area and look terrible when my phone is unfolded.
The last update to the waitlist feature made it useless. It used to give a rough estimate of when to arrive, and now I just get "1-2 hours". That's too wide a time frame to make it easy. I miss pre-pandemic when it would even show how many people were in line ahead of you. The waitlist keeps going downhill and makes being a weekly regular very hard.
Great food great people! Not sure why but they switched the line queue app and now it's the most basic line queue app. Doesn't tell you what number you are in line nor does it give you updated estimated wait times after you join the queue. I much prefer a full featured queue line function because who likes to wait in line when you get there???
I entered my order information, and then entered card info (can't remember if this was before or after entering tip). Then the I progressed, and on the final confirmation page the amount charged my card changed to be about $0.50 short of the total. I changed around my tip a bunch, but the only way to get the total to add up was to tip nothing (which is really crummy for the driver). So while this bug is outstanding drivers can't be tipped
The design of the app is cute but aside from that, this app is a glorified menu. I can add items to my order and get as far as entering my card info when it starts to bug out and won't let me enter certain fields. When I was finally able to enter info to the missing field, I tried going "next" and the screen froze. So idk if I've been charged and its just not showing up yet or if the restaurant got it either. So I end up having to call the place and order anyways 😒
Forced to use app as it's a corporate policy. However the app can only be used for 6 people max (no comment box) and we were a group of 15 which is why we were calling in the first place! Unless you don't want large groups to show up because they can't call and they have a limited amount of time ( work lunch) you might want to either rethink this "policy" or make the app helpful.
I use a no of restaurant ordering apps but none as archaic. To reserve seat works great. But if you wish to order to go, now it becomes hellish when it comes time to pay. You choose location, order details, type, save a credit card or 10, place order, all great. But now you want to reorder. Everything is great until you get to payment. No PAYMENT options. no saved cards displayed. re saved card 5-7 times. last error msg: "sum of selected pmt method must equal the order tip!" I'm done!
The app works fine, the issue is with the online check in process. When I checked in, it gave me a specific 5 min window of when our seat would be available. When I arrived (1 min before my window started), they advised me it would be an additional 25 min. I'd rather they not offer an advanced check in option if it's meaningless.
Checking in on the App is completely useless. when I put our name in, it said 18-23min wait. When I arrived at the restaurant 15min later, they said it would be an additional 20-25min wait. Maybe it's just the Cherry Hill, NJ location, but it seems like an issue with how they use the app, because everyone waiting there that had used the app was having the same problem.
I wish I could give more stars. The restaurant is great, and I love their food. But for a while their app has not been great. I used to be able to order with no problems. It saved my card and was easy to select items and pay. Now the app either glitches during the entire transaction, or I get a notification that the order was placed, only to get another notification 5 minutes before my pickup time that the order wasn't received. If ordering ahead, just go through your browser.
Really nice look! There are some inconvenient issues, though: 1. It doesn't let me sign in. I tried logging in with Google, but it still continues to make me log in. Something is definitely broken here. 2. The navigation at the bottom of the menu is too short. My phone navigation buttons cover them so I can barely select the options in the app. Please make this section a bit larger to provide easy access for ALL types of phones.
There is no way to have an order refunded through the app. I have had orders misdelivered multiple times and been sent on a wild goose chase trying to get ahold of the right company/person to issue a refund. (DoorDash says it's through First Watch and First Watch says it's through DoorDash) There should be an option to select "problem with order" on the app. Last time it took me over 45 days to get a refund.
Ordered at the wrong store, but there was no way to cancel my order on the app. When I called to cancel after I realized my mistake, I was told they couldn't cancel and would have to call corporate office. So I go back to the app, choose the correct store, double check the correct store is listed before ordering, and the app *still* sends the order to the wrong store! Hopefully developers can fix this bug and more importantly, allow stores to cancel orders, that part is ridiculous!
Food is great, but the app is bad. I can't enter a gift card? I see the balance online, but it won't accept the card when I go to check out. ive tried many times. this is the code I always get: "Your request is missing 1 or more required parameters or included 1 or more parameters of incompatible type. Verify your request matches the documentation and try again."
This is the worst designed restaurant apps I've ever used to place an order and its not even close. The system is so extremely fragile that you will have to go through the process of placing your order from start to finish multiple times to force it to go through. The app will also let you select "asap" as a time for pick up or delivery but unless you complete your order within the same minute you started it, the system will lock up and make you completely start over.
