Reviews for Fitia: Calorie Counter & Plans

← Back to Fitia: Calorie Counter & Plans

I love this except for the lack of items already in the database. Good job I got premium at a discount because I'm adding everything to the database myself!! About one item in 10 comes up from scanning the barcode. Very disappointing.

It does almost everything that myfitnesspal offers you but simplified. Having a ton of features is good, but it's too much. I do wish Fitia adds some easy options to connect your garmin watches with their software system. If they do that, then it'll be perfect for me.

paid promoted for most features. I can add food that's in their system. The Selection for food items and brands are very limited. I can't add what's not in their system without paying. I can't use the AI without paying. I can't see meals without paying. They don't have gluten free or any allergies to input. I can't see macros without paying. I can't see daily calculations for sugar sodium fiber or fat without paying. I don't eat meat and that's not an option to avoid in food suggestions either.

Glictchy app that is cropped at the top, hidden button, is overpriced, convoluted cancellation procedure, that forces you to cancel 4 times. Even after I canceled it after 1 day of using this app I was still charged $60 which is over for this useless app. Lack of food availability at least in Australia. No customer service, they are only good at taking your money and providing nothing in return.

Honestly love the app, it’s user-friendly, with helpful features that make staying on track easier. BUT, I’d love to see more variety in widgets—adding some cute and customizable options would make the experience even more engaging. Personalization could make it feel more fun and motivating. Additionally, integration with Samsung Health would be a game-changer, streamlining data tracking across platforms. Overall, it is a solid app with room for creative and functional improvements!

I've only just started using this, but it is an easy intuitive app. A large database makes adding foods easy, plus it has the added ability to send in products not yet in the database and to craft your own foods/recipes. Did I mention this is all in the free version? Quality recipes and the ability to join accountability teams are the keto icing on the healthy GF carrot cake muffin.

Got rid of it after using for 2 days. I wanted an app that creates a meal plan that takes my macros into account and creates a shopping list from that plan. The app doesn't show total of macros for your daily plan, the recipes are very bland with no seasonings, cooking instructions are a mess with typos and mention ingredients not listed in the ingredients table, proteins on grocery list don't tell you anything except chicken or beef - not if it's ground vs breast.

Been tracking for a year now, and I still stand by my 5 star rating. I'm a free user and sure, while I don't have all the features, the free features I have were more than enough to get me on the right track towards my goals. Down 28 lbs just from being aware of my intake and tracking and adjusting my food. I recommend this if you're a beginner in nutrition tracking. Cheers

Decent app. Has some great features, but you have to pay monthly for 90% of them. Good for tracking if you know what your macros should be. I selected to gain weight and it is recommending less than .8 grams of protein per pound of ideal body weight, and only has me consuming about 200 calories above my BMR. As a very active individual, I should be consuming more based on the laws of thermodynamics. It is impossible to gain weight if you are eating less calories than you are burning.

Decent for a food tracking app, however, I had to uninstall it due to it suddenly crashing repeatedly while attempting to log so I unfortunately had to stop using it. Doesn't have quite as much of a database of foods as other apps on the market and the menu for logging new foods to the database isn't very user friendly and admittedly a bit inconvenient. Might try again later but switching apps for now.

nice app. would be nice if it calculated cholesterol it's important. some of the recipes are really good . but most if the time I don't have all the ingredients. and I just have to log in what I can make with what I have. I enjoy trying new things but I refuse to go shopping every time I don't have a few items.. breakfast should be simple. low carb with fruits and veggies.

I'm intrigued and I commend you on a great app design, but, guys, come on, you can't charge $10/month when it's riddled with so many bugs. I mean, it's not even giving me a free trial after signing me up for the free trial. The numbers I put in for my weight don't match in different parts of the app. And the plan says 12 weeks in one spot and then 182 days in another. It's just all over the place. Has the potential to be one of the best out there, but right now it feels like an unfinished beta.

I perused through the app for free. The set up seems okay and nice to be able to have it auto generate a meal plan with meal prep involved. The thing I noticed that made me review it as I did was that all the recipes seemed to be very high in calories, many being in the high seven hundreds for basic lunches. That's ridiculously high. Other apps to the same thing and offer recipes with half the calories.

Overall a pretty good app, but missing key things. I'll only be buying another subscription if they include these features: 1. The main focus in this app is Fats, Protein, and Carbs. Those are important, yes, but I'd also like a way to see per meal (not just per food) how much fiber or cholesterol I'm getting. 2. A way to add just non-food associated carbs, fats, or proteins. That way if you know the stats already you don't have to guess at ingredients so it matches in the app.

I've been using this app for about 9 months now. It was 5 stars until about a month ago, now it's super buggy. Days don't load food even though I have almost every kind selected. No variety in meal suggestions, tomorrow it has me eating yogurt for 4 out of 5 meals. They need to fix or I'll be canceling my subscription and finding something else.

Despise the business model. The entire point of the app (auto meal planning) is locked behind premium which they don't tell you about until you get to the end of the 10 minute "get started" sequence. No free trial. They give you a 24 hour new sign-up discount that's way too good to just buy a month of - and if you end up using the app anyways after just buying a month of premium, you'll spend way more because you missed the discount. Gross. Slimy. Shameless.

Most features are paywalled behind a subscription, such as adding certain foods to your daily, etc. Can't make a team since it says I need to "complete 2 days" even though I've been using the app for an entire week. As a side note, a lot of things are also in Spanish, such as notifications, with no option to translate them. Good app concept, horrible execution.

Easy to use. Tracks macros, makes healthier suggestions, shares nutrition facts, and provides a shopping list. Better, nicer and more organized than other apps in my opinion. I just wish it would show the complete list of both macros and micronutrients. Micronutrients such as fiber, sodium, potassium are also important to keep track of. It only shows the macros.

This app has a trial period. I was really excited about it at first. I really like the AI coach as a feature. I had it for about 15 to 30 minutes after download trying to input my breakfast. I was using a brand name and I quickly realized the huge downfall is that it has no way to customize the brand. This is a must for my needs with food allergies. It was less than 60 min from download that I canceled my yearly premium and within the free day trial period...and they STILL charged me today!!!

App is severely unintuitive. I downloaded multiple free apps that were more user friendly than this one. Their trial period is also only 3 days, so while I had great success with better apps, I still got charged for this one because it wasn't 7 days like everything else. I suppose you have to make your money somehow if your product is garbage.
