The app has been buggy for a while with no signs of getting better. Even though there are places in my area that use Fivestars and I do get reward notifications, when I open the app, the map is empty, the search gives zero results, and I have no way to access my rewards. I've been seeing the same complaints for a while from different reviewers.

The app seems good enough, HOWEVER, there was a BOGO offer that I was excited about and went to the restaurant and ordered food. When I went to pay, the manager there said they ended their contract with Fivestars and can no longer accept it. This type of stuff is unacceptable to me considering it still shows in the app. Cost me an extra $17 I was not expecting to pay.
I used to be able to view both my accumulated and bonus rewards until about one month ago. Now I just get a map that says, "That's all in this area." Now a button appears that says "Discover" when opening the so-called wallet where the bonuses used to be. It just sends you back to the map, that never really worked, to "discover" the whole app doesn't work now.
Horrible app. When I click on businesses, my loyalty rewards does not appear (just keeps loading forever) so I don't know how many points I have nor can I see any of my offers/deals. If I'm able to save an offer through the app, it does not prompt at the register of the business I'm visiting! Very frustrating for both the customers and the businesses.
I've never had a good experience with this app. I ALWAYS get sent "promotional offers" and discounts to get me to come in and then when I try and use them it turns out I can't because I don't have enough points!! It's just a scam to get you into the places and not actually honor their offers. What's the whole point of sending offers if vendors are not going to honor them? Ridiculous! Do not install.
Loved this app for a long time. Now it shows my wallet has no offers even when i am in the store and they have my points pulled up. I left it alone thinking it would be patched but it has been months and its still happening. I am amending my vote to three stars over one. I can finally see my offers but had to uninstall the app three times to get it to work. Still needs to be fixed. No reason for a user to have to work that hard to get a product to work correctly
Since the app was changed, all it shows are the places you're a member of and other stores you can join. What is doesn't show (but used to) are the points earned and what's available for those points. Pretty useless. I checked out some of the recent 5* reviews. Hey reviewers, we're not interested in how much you love the store you went to.
I loved this app up until a few days ago. First, it removed all of my memberships (some of which I've had for almost 10 years), and now, whenever I go to my wallet to see my memberships & any offers, it causes the app to crash. I contacted the support team when I first lost my memberships, and I never received a reply. I would love to see the app fixed so I can use it regularly like I did before these issues!
Downloaded the updated app. Took forever (and several attempts) to get my verification code. Finally get logged in and cannot navigate anything. Looked in the help section and there is no information, articles, or links. Missing several businesses from my wallet with no idea how to add which means no points..and I'm stuck with this crappy app because it's what they use...
The app is great for getting deals from local businesses. However, there is no way to track your points history. I recently had a business make an error that used a bunch of points when I did not redeem a reward. I didn't realize until I saw the notification, but I can't see how many points got used, why, or what my balance should be.
I dont understand what happened the app was great. I recieved rewards and offers and i was able to use them. I was able to check my points. I had stuff in my wallet. Now everything is redacted I cant see or look at anything. Cant add any new business offers to wallet. It has been this way for months. If you cant do an update fast enough to fix the problem maybe just go back to the version people can actually use your app again. I was a great app before someone messed it up.
Don't waste the time or memory downloading this app. It doesn't work anymore. When I click on "view all rewards", it shows me all and shows I have enough points. But I can't redeem anything. Nothing happens, no matter where I click. It will let me redeem one of the 3 rewards shown on the home page, but nothing else. The app hasn't been updated in over a year. I assume they don't even support it anymore.
Neat idea for businesses to be able to push sales, but much left to be desired as a customer using the app. You can't see previous purchases nor can you order thru the app. You need to tell the cashier you have a coupon (and it takes like 10 minutes before the coupon disappears after order is placed) and points for that order never showed up... I can't even find a support button to put in a claim
Worthless... Only got this app because a local shop I frequent uses it to give customers discounts. Unfortunately, you're just out of luck with this app if, like me, you had to change your phone number, as they offer no other way to access your account, even simply to change the phone number associated with it, despite the fact that they also have your email address. What a waste of my time and data!
App sends notifications about deals that, when i click on, just brings me to a map of my area that says, "that's all in your area". So, i never get to see what the "offer" is. I then zoom out and search a wider area, find a business, click on it, and the page just tries to refresh, but never shows my rewards. Only way the program is useable is at the checkout. I'd like the app to be usable, but right now it's just taking up space.
App doesn't work. I am able to sign in at locations using my phone number to accrue points, but the app itself is useless. I can't see the "memberships" I have, or the points/rewards I've accrued. The "Discover" tab doesn't do anything but take me back to the map. When I click on a business on the map, the "Loyalty Rewards" section is broken and just continually blinks. I see no rewards at all, even when I know I have accrued some. Broken app, in my opinion.
This used to be such a good app. Idea/concept was there. Various businesses participate and you earn points and coupons for being a loyal customer. However, ever since the new update...points won't load, you can only view coupons of places on the map in the area. Notifications don't work. When you open a deal it disappears and takes you back to the map. App is only good at checkout but you're unable to view prior and only know at the time of checkout If maybe you have points or a coupon deal.
I have not been getting points credited to my account when making purchases at Goodwill even though I make sure the cashier's say my name after inputting my phone #. I have reached out to Customer Service at least 3 times about this and have had no response, automated messages saying someone will get back to me and it doesn't happen. My account also shows my last Goodwill visit was late August when I have gone multiple times to different locations all using the 5 Stars program.
The app is very convenient to use (enter phone number at device at merchant terminals and get points). However cant say the same about the content of the app itself. Since the last month they have started offering promotions without explaining the qualification criteria. For example, today morning I got a notification that tells me I have a "Perk Up Your Morning" and a "Healthy Lunch Day" promotion that expires today. The app does not tell me what I need to do, and when, to qualify. Furthermore, there is no way to see your points balance history or even a notification of how many points you earned after making a transaction (have been getting a blank notification that just opens the app when clicked).
