Reviews for Flat Equalizer - Bass Booster

← Back to Flat Equalizer - Bass Booster

Be careful and pay attention when downloading this app. At 1st, I thought this was an excellent app. It worked very well for me. After a couple of days, and when I noticed that I wasn't seeing any adds, I began to worry. I thought it would come with adds on which I could then pay for a non add perception if I liked it. My biggest mistake was not reading all the reviews 1st. Turns out that when I downloaded this app, it automatically started charging me. This app is extremely far to expensive.

EDIT: I paid to remove ads in the past... but now I gotta pay $60/mo lol Greed. Been using this app for years, and suddenly now I have to pay 15 dollars EVERY WEEK if I don't want long obnoxious ads interrupting my music? That is 60 dollars a month, over 700 dollars a year for a basic eq app? What in the world are you folks thinking? I don't mind paying something for a good app but that is an EXTREMELY high price for an app. I will be uninstalling this and looking for more affordable options...

The app used to be amazing, and I have been using it forever. Now, the ads have completely taken over. More than half the time, the ads complete and stay on the screen with nowhere to get rid of them. It is clear they are pushing you into getting premium, but for $15/a week for a subscription is absurd. Looking at comments from the developers, it just shows how bad it is when they actually think the price is justified. It's time to find a new EQ app.

worst EQ on the market. how did it get so high of a rating?? well let's start with it sounds scratchy and distorted when it's on over whatever app your using it sounds like the volume turned up high and you can't hear the music very well but you can hear the static the crackling sound. no matter what or how you adjust it. and after 1 sing you'll notice the player is still going trying to play the next song but the EQ No longer works. you have to close everything out. avoid it. get a better one

So far, this is the easiest EQ I've found that works with all my music sources (music player, YouTube, etc). I use a lot of cheap open ear headsets, and this app really helps them sound better. EDIT: The ads seem to be getting more intrusive, and...wait...$15...PER WEEK!? Seriously? $60 per month to remove ads? No thank you. I'll just get better earbuds...

WOW!! Opened 1st time & immediately ambushed by popup for a paid sub to be able to use all of the features anyone wants to use an equalizer for. worse, $15 PER WEEK!! for volume control!!! I declined, but still curious what features were "free".. plot twist: another popup! 30s ad, no skips. I promptly uninstalled; I don't need to see any further bc there's nothing to even see but ads! I can find another app without all of the scammy energy & more functionality, and I did... SPARE YOURSELVES!!!!

Overall, the app has a lot of features and has enhanced my music experience. I took off 1 star for not being able to do a reasonably priced one-time purchase to remove advertisements. $60 a month (fifteen per week) for an app makes me feel that the creators are a little out of touch for the value of an app on the Google Playstore. I understand getting your worth for your work, but you could quite literally buy three Netflix subscription accounts for that price, no way!

This app was amazing until it got packed filled with ads. Now you can't even adjust the equalizer without a music stopping and a goddamn ads. You want people to pay $30 a month for this app? You're out of your damn mind! I'd pay $3 for this, tops. You're literally asking for a $30 a month subscription. That's more than Office365. I uninstalled and lowered this to 1 star. Edit: This is not a service. This is an app. You want more than 1 star? Charge a one time $3 flat fee for premium.

It's great! I would give it 5 stars, but the subscription price is too high, so I suffer the ads to use it. After your response, I would just like to say $60/mo is utterly ridiculous! I like how the app works and you certainly don't add that much with premium. I'm not aware of any other premium equalizer app on the market that costs any more than a fraction of that! So, because it works well as an equalizer and volume booster, unless I find a better one, I will keep using it, even with the ads.

Ads are insane. Almost every screen you click on has a new fullscreen ad you have to first watch. It shouldn't be worth anyone's time to sit thru the ads to try this. So the caveat here is that I was actually unable to try the app because I didn't want to sit through like 10 minutes of ads -- which is completely unacceptable and why I have awarded the lowest possible score.

WHAT A DIFFERENCE. I didn't expect that the app would do what I'd does. my headsets are hitting 4x better than just the system eq. this is the one app you want to use IF you really want to take advantage of your HI-FI or 3D and the sound is so natural. when I'm playing Alien Isolation my heart was beating so darn hard. Have fun you won't regret.

Good app, but jam-packed with ads, to the point it's almost impossible to use. I'd be happy to buy a premium version, but this is subscription only at $14.99 per WEEK. That's right $780 per year!!! Yeah, you heard that right $15 per week. So, I'll look for a different equalizer. I can't imagine that anyone actually got the premium for this on purpose.

genuinely was expecting this to be garbage, no I'm not an npc. the app is pretty basic as free but I LOVE to feel my eardrums vibrate with low bass frequencies, this app not only lets me do that but also has a bass booster too! it also works even when you close the app. it has everything I need to feel like my head is vibrating inside. if you use a Samsung phone then in your settings you can turn on concert hall too, making it feel surreal. 5 stars.

was recommended wavelet, but this is significantly better. 10 bands, more than most equalizer apps here one issue: the app seems to define "dB" differently than the rest of the world. When I copy the digits from other eq apps, it feels very different. I need to set things to almost +10db to reach the same effect as around +5dB in other apps (I've tried 4 eq apps and all others are quite consistent with each other)

I've been using it for quite a while for music in my truck. I've had very, very few problems, and those are very minor issues such as the notification button not re-launching it, but that's neither here nor there. Provides the customization of a regular equalizer, and comes with alot of well-made presets. Reccomended if you're looking for a personalization touch to your music or audio in general.

Not consistent. It randomly drops out so you have to open the app to get it to work again. There doesn't appear to be any rhyme or reason; I don't restart that often. The app takes way too long to load, and now they have noisy video ads that scare anyone in the room. And lastly, $15/week to remove ads!? This is not a review bomb, this is the score they actually deserve. Sub models always get a negative score for me. This is not a service, this is an app. Get real...

Only one that actually works. (Edit) I've had this app for at least 2 years now and it's always worked well. I'm rating it 1 star now because of how greedy they got with monetizing it. I paid for a life long pro version of the app almost 2 years ago now for I think $8. Apparently that doesn't mean anything anymore because they shove ads down my throat constantly and are now wanting $15 a week to remove ads!!!!!!! Totally unacceptable. I reached out to support and nothing came of it. Despicable.

I write little to no reviews, as I don't see a need, but this app satisfies all my needs. I use the basic version, but as that goes it does the job well and so much more. Pairing it to my music app of choice was easy and took little effort, which is what my first impression was of the app--setting it up, too, was easy. I like how I can fiddle with the settings and listen to it change in real-time. I have just recently bought the ad-free version to support them because of how pleased I am--try it

I have used this app for years, but as of late 2025, I've not been able to get past the plethora of ads shown. I try to wait them out and when inevitably brought to the app store to download something, I either have tried pressing the back arrow to get back to the equalizer or closed the page. Either way, I'm returned to yet another ad or cheap mobile game promo. I was willing to pay to stop it, but then saw it was a WEEKLY subscription. So, I will find someone else to give my money to.

I use this app a lot for fixing quality of any headphones and speakers. I paid for a one-time subscription but until recently, my subscription ended and I could only pay with monthly subscription. Obviously a bad decision even for someone that payed for one-time subscription, but overall, the app is great for what I use. Update: Oddly enough, the app sometimes recognizes the one-time subscription and goes back to normal.
