Been using Fongo World Edition for a couple months now. It’s basically a calling app that lets you get a Canadian phone number and call and text Canada and the world for free. Pretty solid app if you’re into that sort of thing.
Here’s what you do: you can pick your own local Canadian number and use that to call and text your friends and family back home. And there’s also unlimited incoming calls and texts, which is pretty cool. And you can even get faxes and stuff – took me a while to figure that one out but it’s useful.
Look, if you make a lot of international calls, you’ll probably like this. It’s not perfect – the app can get a bit glitchy sometimes – but overall it does the job. Worth checking out.

So here's my honest take on Fongo World Edition. I've tested a bunch of calling and messaging apps, and this one's pretty solid. The free unlimited calls and texts to Canada are super convenient, and the visual voicemail and other features work well. But it's not without its issues - the app can be a bit buggy at times, and the interface is a little dated. Still, if you need a cheap way to stay connected with people back home, I'd say Fongo World Edition is worth a look.

I would rate this app 0 stars. There is no audio on calls so you can't hear them and they can't hear you. There are several options in the settings...
Great app, working really good, simple and easy to setup. Voice quality is really nice and call connects super fast. Not too pricey, in fact cheaper than an actual SIM....
