The app works great for remote starting my 2024 Ranger, and locking/unlocking the doors, but that's all it does. I have a camper top on my truck and sleep in the bed when I camp. My truck came with LEDs in the bed but they can only be turned on or off using the button in the cab. I want to be able to control the interior and exterior lights of the truck through the app, especially the bed lights. Minus one star for the limited functionality.

They got rid of the zone lighting control from the app shortly after I bought my f150 tremor. That was the only relevant part of the app being able to turn all the lights on when it's very dark out as I live in the country. Other than that its just a remote starting app which you can already do with your key fob with the addition of a ton of tracking and privacy loss given directly to Ford.

I just updated this app yesterday and now it won't connect. before the update, it showed my address on the location bar, now it only shows coordinates. I don't understand coordinates, I understand addresses. it also hasn't changed the fuel data, even after I filled up the tank today. it just won't connect to my vehicle after the update. please fix it. I uninstalled and reinstalled the app and it seems to have corrected the issue, at least for now.

I was forced to update to the latest version today, (6/16/25,) and now the app doesn't work. All I see is a blank screen with two options at the bottom. Swiping down to refresh produces a never ending swirlie. All my vehicle information appears to be gone. I have this on two devices and the same result on both. Android OS. Nice "upgrade". Sure glad my car wasn't stolen, as I'd have no idea where to send the police!

The app offers a lot of nice features, but it routinely fails to add past charging events to my charging history, and it often displays inaccurate information about my current charge session. For example, the time on the charger will be hours longer than it really was. Also, it doesn't always show stats for an in-process charge, like charge rate, miles added, or total added kWh. Phone as a key constantly tries to connect to my phone from other rooms in the house.

It used to work great. Now it won't autostart my car unless I use my key fob and "lock" the door, then it starts.. which is weird and less than useful since I have to go outside to make autostart work. I can no longer start it from in the store, and have my car on when I get out. I called the tech people and all they found was my car sending signals about something completely different.. I don't have the money to get the car people to look at it, so I guess im stuck with this issue.

The application is good as it provides a variety of features but some of the features don't always work. The preferred timing schedule never works, When I go to add a new location it does not give me any option to pick a location, I want to add my home but it never shows up in the list. The application randomly forgets about the car, I had to log out and log back in to get it to work again.

I am a little frustrated by buying a 2025 Ford Expedition Platinum Max, w all the bells & whistles, only to learn later, that I have to subscribe to multiple connectivity packages, in order to continue w these features sold as part of the vehicle. The connectivity features are wonderful, but add all the connectivity costs up, and it is quite pricey. Nothing was mentioned by Malloy Dealership about such added costs post 60 days of purchase. Buyer beware!!!

Meh, just OK. Needs the ability to customize the end user experience. Meanwhile, the Android Auto integration has a bug that makes accessing the grayed out Settings icon on Sync screen impossible. Even with the vehicle in park and only on accessory, it is still grayed out. And if you tap the grayed icon, it responds with the error message that it is unavailable while driving. Please address.

I would do a 4.5 if that was a thing. It is very convenient and recommended. The 4.5 thing is because it occasionally makes you have to re sync the app to the truck, which removes remote options from the app until you're in the truck. Other than that, I love it. Maybe add being able to control the climate and / or preset the media. Just a suggestion.

Ok but super basic. While I can lock, unlock, and start my truck from the app, it doesn't even tell me what it's existing status is. With a new vehicle, the diagnostic data that's available is impressive but I can't see it. The app won't even tell me what the vague a** alarms/errors are. I literally have to call the dealership to find out anything about my truck. This app is essentially a glorified remote. It should be so much more with the price point of vehicles today.

The app is great and nice features that are useful such as knowing the gas left in the vehicle, tire pressure, opening and closing the car, starting the car remotely. These are features that I love also having the owners manual there. The reason for my 3 stars is that I wish Ford would update their app so that when you close the phone and look at the app again it wouldn't say "Temporarily Unavailable". It happens every time you lock your phone and look at it again. Everything else is amazing.

this app is trash, doesn't work most of the time. cant start it remotely, lock it, unlock it. schedule a remote start and when I come out to the truck its not running. doesn't matter if I'm connected to WiFi or have full service with my phone. I can be standing right next to the truck and the app won't unlock or lock the truck. when it works it does what it is supposed to, but that is rare.

Pretty annoyed. You can lock/unlock the doors but it doesn't tell you the status of the truck so you have no idea if it worked or not. You can't set a charge target unless you save a location and set a charging schedule. You have to watch the charge level on the app and stop it manually. If you forget, you're SOL. It goes to 100%. Even when you do save the location, if you want to manually change the charge target it's very buggy. Phone as key also randomly stops working. Very inconvenient

I liked it a lot more, maybe 4 stars, when it had the scheduled start feature then one day it updated and that doesn't exist anymore. sometimes it fails to connect or start and I don't use it enough to remember where the info I'm looking for is all the time so navigation is not great. if it had scheduled start or more/other features like start my vehicle and turn on defrost, it would be great. Right now it just starts and sometimes has the last settings you had on turn on again but not always?!

If you look almost all the five star reviews are over a year or two old. A super slow lazy app that almost never works. I can't really control how my car has the heat settings or anything from the app. If I want to remotely start it. The fact I need to have Wi-Fi makes this almost completely useless as my Wi-Fi does not go all the way into my garage Lolo in my driveway. Also, when I turn off my car and open the door the Bluetooth still stays on for 30 minutes. This app and car sucks

Way better than Chevy since it's free, however I don't like that if I schedule a remote start, and then my schedule changes, and I go into re-schedule it says it goes through, but my truck still starts on the 1st scheduled start, and that is annoying, or if I schedule it, and completely cancel it, it still starts. Still a great feature though!

An absolutely USELESS app. It used to work great. Especially for autostart, lock, unlock, etc. Now, it's does absolutely NOTHING. It says my truck is running ALL the time. Autostart will NOT work. Lock/unlock are useless as well. I've signed in/out. Uninstalled and reinstalled the app. All to no avail. I will change my rating if it EVER works again. Oh, I've also installed all new updates to the app AND the trucks software. Junk. 🙄

This app, for the most part is "ok". It works great for locking/unlocking and starting the vehicle. I marked down stars because the ability to change the climate control temp is now missing when I start the car. Now my remote start is stuck on Max AC and it's almost winter. I think an app update is in order FORD!
