This app is perfect for me. I love the way it is set up with not only great recipes but the shopping list and the prep guide. They even include reviews for each recipe. This makes it easy to tweek recipes and enjoy the recipes even more. I was very skeptical of vegan eating but the Forks over Knives app has been very helpful in making me want to do this.

TLDR: It's not free, but amazing app. It's a subscription service with a 14 day trial. The app is great though in so, so many ways! I don't doubt it's worth 20$ a month if you dont have the time/will to do your own meal planning or just need to shake things up a bit on the inspiration front. The app is very usable and intuitive, I haven't tried any of the recipes yet though. Edit: tried it for a month, no regrets - yummy stuff indeed and helped a lot!

So so helpful! Just the grocery list creation alone is so time saving. Love the weekly suggestion that makes me try new things but also the option to add other recipes if I think one of them isn't for me. The only thing i would like is to be able to sort my favorite recipes into categories. Maybe that's possible, if so i can't figure out how... But just having one long list of favorites might get a bit tricky.

This app is very user friendly and has delicious meals. I love the grocery lists. They are so well organized! This app is awesome!!

Love this app. You can add your allergies, common ones only, and they will only show recipes you can make. Some even change the recipe so you can still enjoy it. Customizable for family size. Grocery list is easy to use and can add other items needed as well. I've been using this app for almost 2 years now! ♡

I love all the plant-based recipes! The app makes it easy and fun to shop and cook. Each meal is absolutely delicious and healthy. It has also been a creative outlet for me to make each colorful meal.

I want to love this app and use it but it's so glitchy it keeps on loosing the recipes that I save on my phone. I end up spending a lot of time trying to find ingredients and then when I look it up later it's gone.

Steak lover here, having to try plant based... I've been pleasantly surprised to find that each recipe I've tried has been tasty, even my kids are enjoying them. Serving sizes are huge! I love the ease of the grocery list by aisle and the prep work list that makes week day cooking under thirty minutes! As a T1D, I'd love it if carb counts were given by serving size (example: 1cup serving = 37 total carbohydrate grams) That would really help my insulin dose and blood sugar levels.

Update: I understand that you can click on those three dots and move things around. But it is a pain in the rear end. Using the website is 100% better then using the app. ********* The app really doesn't work very well. I've used the Android version and the Apple version, and neither of them work as good as just using the site in your web browser. For starters you can't drag and drop your meals between the different days of the week. And that is a big fat bummer. And, in my mind a deal breaker.

My family of five has been using the Forks Meal Planner website for over a year. The recipes have made it possible for us to live a vegan lifestyle, and to enjoy delicious food. I was happy to learn they just finished an app. I no longer have to print my shopping list and carry paper around the store. The app makes it easy to view this week's recipes as well as to search for additional ones.

Food is good, grocery list is great, I can never use the plans and the timing on the meals is WAY longer than advertised pretty consistenly. APP is really pretty bad. I keep having to use the desktop though because the app can't load a recipe without crashing. I've had various other issues since downloading in June as well, new issues with each new release, but this makes it completely unusable.

Update: Somehow the app has gotten even worse. I can't even open recipes now. I was trying to cook dinner last night and I had to open the website just to get to the recipe I had already bought ingredients for. Restarting my phone multiple times in attempt to correct the problem did nothing. Then the website started giving me issues too - stuck on loading screen for several minutes. I regret my purchase. I joined to make meal planning more convenient but this is nothing but a headache.

Fantastic meal planner! I just wish it were easy to see how many servings in a recipe- some things I make for me and the kids and others are just for me so I would like to know how many servings I am making. Other than that I love it! Oh- the only other thing I would like to change is the shopping list- I would like it to reset with each new menu- one week I may have chickpeas on hand and the next I may need to buy more. :)

Love this app. Downloaded it just to try it and end up using it every time a meal comes around. They make it easy to eat vegan and healthy. Also super easy to go shopping and I spend a whole lot less on food! All of the recipes are simple and things I would never think of on my own. Plus, there's new recipes every week so far, but you can swap them if you're not into them. Amazing app!

This app is great! Me and my wife have been looking for a good whole food plant based meal planner for a while now and we are happy to see that FOK has one! We really like how the app automatically adjusts your grocery list items based on the chosen recipes and ingredients. The nutrition label for each recipe is also very helpful as we can easily track the amount of calories and protein we are consuming for each recipe. The app is a huge time saver and makes our lives much easier each weekend when planning meals. However, I do think there are some betterments. For one, it would be great if there was a view that displays all of the nutrition added up for each day. Currently, we have to manually add up the calorie and protein count to see if we are hitting our daily nutrition goals which takes additional time. Also, it would be great to filter the meals based on calories. For example, all meals under 300 calories. Also, we noticed that breads and tortillas get added to the calorie count which isn't ideal since we may use a different brand that has different nutrition. I noticed that I wasn't able to download the app on a Galaxy Tab A tablet. It would be great to have support for tablets so one can be used to view recipes while cooking. Finally, it would be awesome if there was a button to deliver meals to my house 😃 Great app overall! Keep up the good work.

The recipes are underwhelming, with odd ingredients sometimes (ginger in fajitas?), but I'm satisfied that it's healthier than I'd normally prepare during a work week. The 2-week trial is a lie. They give a single 5-day plan, and then never unlock the second week's recipes. Switching services to Platejoy, which seems to be more honest. Also, the grocery list doesn't fully aggregate the same ingredient in the grocery list. For example, you need to calculate 15 fluid ounces plus 3 cups.

I use a forks over knives recipes app and I love it. lots of good recipes and I like the built-in shopping list and other features. What I was this app would do was allow you to put leftover ingredients in a search and find recipes that will allow you to use them. This would be a truly helpful app if one could find recipes that use the ingredients you already have on hand, especially at end of month when money is tight. This is a "no" for me.

Very disappointed because I BOUGHT this app several years back and had full access to many great recipes. I saved them as my favorites too, but now I don't have access to them unless I "upgrade to premium". I'm not paying a monthly fee to get something I paid for before. Thankfully I know enough recipes in my head and can find others online for free.

I always loved this app and have been using the paid yearly subscription for years. What happened to the app???!!! It has been terrible the past few months. It frequently gives me a red bar across the top that says I have no internet connection making me close the app and reopen. When I reopen the app it has logged me out. When I log in it tells me my password is incorrect. I have changed my password three times in the past two weeks. I have the most recent app update as of 8/2/2025.

I've been using the app since 2020. It taught me WFPB cooking, and the meal plans make my weekly meal planning and shopping so much easier than if I had to come up with it all myself. It helps me stay on track with WFPB while making sure I eat a large variety of different foods. There are a few things I wish the app had, such as more integrations with other apps, a more robust search function, or that the phone app would allow to easily add a recipe to any planner week of my choosing.
