Purchased a fight that would not play. Tech support basically told me to log in and hit play which I was already doing. Past that they said there was nothing else I can do and no one I could be transferred to for additional help. They also stated that there was no refund to be given whether or not it would play. I asked if there was anything else I coul do and they just said to keep logging in and hitting the play button. This is horrible customer service. Comes off fealing like a scam.
Reviews for FOX Sports: Watch Live Games
For the purpose of actually watching anything on this app, you're better off finding a stream online. It takes forever to actually load. Any time you switch apps, the video breaks and you need to back out to the main menu and hope it decides to load again. Sometimes it will but when it's a critical moment in the game, it probably won't. Actually selecting the game you want to watch won't work sometimes. Terrible app. I watch the streams online more often than get this piece of trash to work.
The app is extremely difficult to navigate, you can't start watching a program until that program is already in progress (guaranteeing you'll miss at least a couple downs if it's a football game), you have to be on desktop if you want to watch a channel under the Fox family like Big Ten Network, and there's no Chromecast option. FS Go was fine. It's like Fox doesn't even want anyone to watch their programming
Terrible app. Incredibly buggy - if you're behind at all (watching a game that already started, for example) your only options are "Jump to Live" or "Restart." That's right. You can't go back. You can't fast forward. And if the stream glitches, like it did for me, it might just glitch out of full screen mode and - extraordinarily inconveniently - show the final score for the game you're still in the middle of watching. Awful app. 0/5 stars if I could. Do yourself a favor and go anywhere else.
You can't watch live games for free and an app can always be better. So I give them a 3. I use it for checking the box score, stats and bios. It's usually good for that. On occasion they just leave a player completely out of the box score which is weird. You gotta kinda cross check it with another app. Otherwise I like it. Just short of a 4 because they forget players stats like they didn't even play in the game.
Fox responded to my last bad review to tell me to contact chat in the app. I tried but I was 2nd in line for over 20 minutes. Then when I thought it would connect, the game came on out of nowhere! Half the screen is dark, I missed most of the first half, and I'm still not happy... as a lions fan, I want to be able to watch my team actually winning while it lasts.
When a game is actually streamed, the quality is generally good. Unfortunately, we use this to watch UConn basketball on SNY (out of market) because Fox is their designated streamer. BUT... sometimes the app simply pretends a game isn't on when they aren't getting the stream from SNY, leading users to spend too much time trying to figure out what they did wrong -- when FoxSports was lazy and just didn't say that they aren't getting the game. Typical of the "customers don't really matter" folk
Major bugs with the app when trying to watch the games. It glitches and won't allow me to sign in to my provider. It often says "playback failed" and won't show the games. it has also told me a game has ended even though it is only a few minutes into the 2nd half. If the bugs would get fixed it would be way better because when it decides to work it is awesome.
Fox Sports was one of my favorite apps. I could watch replays of some of my favorite shows during my lunch break, like first things first and undisputed. Now you need two apps to even find content, then when you do find it you only get clips. Then I saw the podcast on the fox sports app only to find that the episodes are 3 months behind. I'll just DVR the shows and delete both apps complete waste of space.
I was trying to watch the playoff game, which is broadcast over the air for free on Fox, and the app said I had an hour of free preview, which as soon as I got a phone call (5 minutes in) and had to go back to the app, my hour preview was nonexistant and it was wanting me to sign in. Idk how you charge for a service you offer for free. I would understand if it was VOD or something extra, but with the amount of ads had to watch within the first 5 minutes, it definitely should be free on the app.
