This update to the app is more of a downgrade... This new version distorts the about message on the screen so it is no longer readable, as it is hidden behind these large icons on the front panel. Apart from that, it no longer allows renaming of the host. If you have a co-host in the conference, you can no longer change the names so participants can identify, and send direct messages to the correct host.
Reviews for Free Conference Call
← Back to Free Conference CallI use this service several times a week for conference calls with groups on 15-20 people, and am very pleased with the service. my ONLY complaint (and it's significant), is that the app will not let you run it in the background. I'll switch from FCC to say Google Sheets or a PDF to reference data for the call, and when I switch back, I need to join the call again in the app. super annoying and its like this on Android and iOS. 5 stars for the service, 3 stars for the app.
It's ok can be better, it can be too noisy sometimes and doesn't pick up music that I tried to play at the background. Doesn't record any background music played but can record other noises made by people who called in. That's very strange. If it can be sorted or improved on that will be excellent. Thanks for providing free conference call for us to use.
Hi, i have been using the free conference call app, for over a year, which is not free any more or we can say which is free for a limited time, has upgraded version which is quite understandable. The only problem is you have to recharge it each month. They don't give quarterly options or half yearly option. It would be more convenient if they provide so.
I would appreciate this apps service. Despite my sincere appreciation for them (10 of 10), I give them 4 to be technically fair. ( I believe it's good for them to know the technical issue). Sometimes the host can't see the correct number of people and also can't see who has pushed the Question button. Also, the quality of broadcasting is poor. Any thing else is perfect.
It's free conference call, and is very interested. I like it very much. But is not accessible for all the options, to used for TalkBack accessibility) because some part are not even Tel me. What is that!! I cannot tell you what that is, just keep me silently once I click. Also I cannot Swype the character and word to check the spelling of the list options. 🤔🤔
Good app. Really amazing to be able to place international calls for free. Something I would like is to be able to change the label on meetings just for my end. This is possible when the app doesn't recognize a meeting and names it automatically as "Untitled" - in this case I can change the name. For the other meetings though this can't be done. I don't want to change meeting names for other members, just to change it for myself eg to suit my timezone or make the meeting focus clearer for me.
It grabbed my my internet data😡, it consumes more data than other apps. My suggestion is you should work more on this app. Lots of problems with this app follows 1) consumes more data 2)some times it Stops automatically at middle of session 3) voice is not clear at sometimes at middle 4)while playing videos, it is not clear 5) most important *someone joined and left* notifications hurt us very lot.(it has option but it is not working)
Very helpful tool for very frequent meetings you may have. My church uses for prayer corporate prayer calls. I enjoy it. The only issue that I've encountered seldomly is being kicked out of the conf call but as often as I use the app that issue had not been a regular occurrence at least for me. It is free and using the app makes it simple so you don't have to dial in the number and access code repetitively.
I've been paying monthly for the extra options, to use the app every day. Yes every blessed day. It used to be so good, but now I am totally disappointed with your recent update. Names of callers not showing, app cutting off within minutes, and just too many bugs. Please, please and please downgrade it back to what was working.
This app is not meant for a conference of more than 30 people it seems. To get atleast a good audio from the speaker we had to mute our audio and video other wise the voice would break horribly. Besides we can just get the view of one person at a time. The app "ZOOM" was 10 times better than this.
Ive been using this conference line consistently for over 3 years. Most times 1 time a week and every quarter 21 days in row. No matter the conference line is always available. Members get on with ease. Very little issues and for the most part it is flawless. The new app upgrade is also sleek. Its better to use app because some phone carriers charge 1 cent per minute for calls. Other than that minor issue I am grateful for the line.
Usable. Not recommended to switch on your camera during busy internet traffic on peak hours, so yes.. you'll get an audio conference. Blame it on your ISP. Interface-wise, good but still can be improved. The controls are a little bit better than average. The host can mute/unmute any or all member so that's a big help. Loudspeakers usually mess up the quality on the other end of the lines, so this app needs to be used with mics and headphones. 3.5 star, for now
For the last several months, the app only works if I keep it open while using my android phone. But if I minimize it to check emails, surf the web etc. the call becomes distorted. It's less than ideal to listen to an audio call and only be able to stare at the screen for an hour or however long the call is. I did send an email to the support team.
Very convenient not having to use cell phone. Much easier to mute & unmute when wanting to speak. Except for being unable to significantly lower or turn off my volume, it is excellent. I recommend it. The new updated version: I don't like it as much. My #1 problem is the sound quality. It's not good going thru the app vs calling in (using the same phone). Scratchy sounding & not loud enough. The older version was loud & clear. Now often have get off the app & get on thru calling in.
Great and affordable way to get conference call capability. Voice quality over wifi is (usually) decent. Over phone lines it's not bad. Maximum number of attendees we tested is 5, and it works well (FCC aways you can have up to 1000 on a call!). Would have like to see local Canadian dial-in numbers though. Plus I couldn't figure out how to get someone other than the meeting host to share his/her screen.
The Audio is now okay. But there are still ups and cracked audio sound. Sometimes, the broadcaster will be talking, and you won't hear anything. The internet connection is unexpectedly terminated and if you trying to reconnect, it won't connect. But the app is a great app. You can reach out to thousands of audience from the comfort of your home or office. It's the best free conference call I've ever used.
Generally good but challenges getting audio connected. It take several steps for a participant to get their audio connected, and even then many people seem to have problems either hearing or speaking or getting their video going. It seems to be key to click on the used computer audio option, but it's not obvious that that is so. I think this program evolved from the phone conferencing, and it hasn't quite caught up to being a video conferencing app. Would be really nice to have a gallery view.
This service has held up excellently throughout the seven years I have been using it in different groups on several lines. The pandemic has brought success rather than challenges! The sound is clear. Calls are no longer stopped, it seems. The features offered are great. The only thing I would like to be improved is choral production. Voices do lag behind. Nonetheless, I've been blessed, so, it's a five from me.
Want to give it a 5 but it stumbles in the audio department on the phone. If I dial in directly from my phone it works flawlessly, but if I use the app, it randomly changes from good to poor quality. Also, I run into trouble sometimes when I attempt to switch from speakerphone to the headset. At times, I would tap the button and it changes the audio accordingly. and sometimes it would refuse to come off speakerphone. Sometimes even on headset mode or with headphones the audio is bad, randomly...
