Been using Free Food Alert for a couple months now. It’s basically an app that sends you push notifications whenever there’s free food available on your college campus. Pretty solid if you’re always on the hunt for free grub.
Here’s what you do: you just set your location and preferences, and the app will alert you whenever something pops up. There’s also a feed where you can see all the current food events. And you can even add your own events if you’re organizing something. Took me a while to figure that part out but it’s a nice feature.
Look, if you’re into saving money and eating for free, you’ll probably like this app. It’s not perfect – sometimes the notifications are late or the info is outdated – but overall it does the job. Worth checking out if you’re a broke college kid like me.
