So here's my take on the FreeStyle Libre 2 - US app. I've tried a bunch of diabetes management apps and this one's pretty solid. The real-time glucose monitoring is super convenient, and the optional alarms are a game-changer. Sure, it has a few minor issues, but nothing deal-breaking. If you need a reliable CGM system, this is one of the better options out there.

Pros

  • Small and discreet sensor that's comfortable to wear
  • Accurate glucose readings without fingersticks
  • Handy alarms for high/low blood sugar levels
  • Free to download and use with the Libre 2 system
  • Works well for both adults and kids

Cons

  • Can be a pain to get the sensor and app synced up sometimes
  • Need to pay for the Libre 2 hardware, which adds to the cost
  • Reporting/tracking features are a bit basic compared to other apps

Description

I’ve been using the FreeStyle Libre 2 – US app for a couple months now. It’s basically a continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) system that links up with a sensor you wear. Pretty solid app if you’re into managing your diabetes.

Here’s what you can do: You just scan the sensor with your phone and it’ll show your current glucose level, plus trends over time. And there’s also optional alarms that’ll notify you if your levels go too high or low – which is super handy. And the sensor itself is pretty small and discreet, which is nice.

Look, if you’re living with diabetes, this app is worth checking out. It’s not perfect – the syncing can be finicky sometimes – but overall it does a great job of making it easier to manage your condition. I’d recommend giving it a try.

there is nothing "discreet" about this app, nor do the alarms give you much option as to how loud they are (this includes when you're wearing headphones). The sensors will...

I would give ZERO stars if I could. The alarm override is absolutely ridiculous and so incredibly loud that my phone is literally giving me anxiety. It is so loud...

Like the many complaints stated, I work in an office environment, and the alarms are way too loud and unchangeable. Also, nothing has disrupted my sleep more than this devise,...
