Reviews for Fresha for business

I used the app for 7years without paying anything and never had any problems. ⚠️⛔⚠️⛔⚠️ Once starting to pay for certain additional services the problems started. This app started as "Sheduel" and was a great idea. I guess the new owner has no idea what working in a salon is like neither has any willing to understand.

I used to love Fresha; but now that they've decided to no longer offer a free tier, I'll be finding another service for booking nail clients. Not all service industry professionals can afford to pay for a booking service on top of all of our personal bills and other business bills. At this point if I could keep my entire schedule straight on paper, I would.

was really enjoying Fresha to use it for basics like making appointments. didn't make much use of all the other features. Worked well for me because of the free option but that free option will no longer be available from August. Unfortunately a subscription fee will be needed to continue using it. might have to swap to a new app unless they offer a cheaper more basic version to use. I'd consider paying half the price just to make bookings without needing SMS/email options or online bookings

Really really annoying how you can't permanently delete a clients appointment or profile. If they're not my client anymore, I don't want to keep seeing their name and previously booked appointments all over my page in red letters. Apart from that, it's a good app 🤷🏼‍♀️

I have been using this site for over a year without issue. However, recently, I've been having an issue transferring funds from my wallet to my bank account. They have changed something. No one responds to emails. My money is just sitting in my business wallet, but there's no way to access it. I have had to shut down my availability on the site because this remains an unresolved issue. The business wallet settings are all of sudden disabled and I can't manually change it. Ridiculous & criminal!

unfortunately I can't use this app once it changes in October, for the amount of its features I do actually use its not worth for myself to pay a monthly/yearly fee . however it would be beneficial for people/companies that do use it properly ..it has been a great app for myself but I can't warrant the expense it will be from October.. but definitely is a good booking system

2025 This app updates more than any other app I have, wish they would update the ability to edit SMS reminders. 2025: Now that I am paying for the app, I do feel having the ability to edit the SMS would be great. I also purchase smses so that would really be worth paying for. The app also performs slower on my mobile now that it's been updated but overall it's good.

Rips off service provider. When a client books from their market place. the new client fee of 20% is charged. Which is OK. The problem is is a client books an appointment and does not recieve that service (my case was not able to get a perm due to length of hair) I was still charged for that service even tho the client never recieved the service. It's extremely frustrating and not ok.

I switched to square 🤔. I have been with fresha from the very beginning. when they told me they needed to start charging for text alerts I understood. when they offered more for a fee. I understood. when they said they needed to charge a small monthly rate!! I understood. BUT! When they started taking 20% of MY OWN CLIENTS BOOKINGS just because my clients couldn't figure out how to book through Google instead of fresha, fresha claimed that this meant they brought the client to ME. Nope. No more

I'd love to be able to send an invoice copy to a client before processing the payment, as it gets a bit confusing for them because of showing a zero balance to pay. Also, the WhatsApp cost is a little confusing, considering it's a free service platform.

Suddenly charging $300+ a year! I am a solo practitioner, this is a HUGE monetary hit. To go from a $0 plan to $300+ is absolutely absurd. with almost NO added features from making that jump! I would pay $40/year for text messages and for the new client fee on the free plan. to be clear out of 4 years of using this app it bought only one client to me. all others driven to MY booking page by ME. and I still had to pay them $20+? I will be leaving.

Easy to use and helpful reminder texts. I just wish for new clients who book through fresha that you didn't charge the 20%fee and card fee as that does make it quite a high cost. But, on the plus side it's just a one off fee for their first booking with fresha. I love the easy booking links to social media and the calendar layout makes it nice and easy to follow. As a whole I have found it a great booking system 😊

The app itself works just fine, but the constant updates make it rather unwieldy. There are many occasions where I only have a span of less than a minute to check my schedule. Needing to check the app quickly, and opening it up to find an update can sometimes mean I don't actually have the opportunity to look at my schedule. This can particularly become a problem when these updates are rolling out every few days.

It has been a great asset to our salon. We love the booking reminders. Client can attach their credit card information to their account and not have to worry about having the card with them every visit. Great for more than one stylist, they can mark out when their not going to be in. Others can see it on the schedule. Love this app!❤️

Worst service. I figured out a glitch where they charged us hundreds in wrong fees. I reached out to our account manager and he validated that those fees are indeed wrong. However, the best he can do is give us the wrong fees back as a credit. After following up multiple times, the credit was never given. The fees would have been worth almost 1000-1400 transactions. They screwed us hard when we really were just opening and we needed every dollar. I would never recommend them to anyone.

The app is nice and easy to navigate for both clients and businesses. but recently they went from being free to have a subscription fee. okay that'd fine... but there are now so many hidden fees. like a "new client" or even just a new card I got charged anywhere from $8 to $20+ for a "new client fee." Also if you want extra time on your services itthen effects everyone's services and schedule. It's hard to constantly keep up with your services just so you can have time after a client.

this app is a good place to start. first off it's free! i love that it sends confirmations, reminders, AND thank you's! it has the basics that I need scheduling appointments, tracking clients & inventory, sales, tips etc. two functions would really bring this app to the top which would be the capability of using the camera to scan in new inventory items and being able to sync the calendar with my Google calendar! some more customizing options on the reports would be nice as well.

I would love to give this a 5 stat it was great in the beginning. Now, it just freezes a lot. I get multiple complaints from clients trying to book online. They say they have trouble booking or there's always a problem which they have to create a new account. It totally sucks for a business that will eventually start to lose clients. It also says we are booked out when we are not and give only a couple of time slots when we have more open availability.

When it's time to update, it takes a very long time for me to be able to log in again, at least on my phone(logs you out & you're unable to view your schedule). Doesn't give you an option to not update or update later. Multiple attempts at correct sign in information. Had to use an older web browser for it to finally work (& see schedule before the update). It can be slow at times, so clients have to bare with you while on the phone scheduling an appointment. Other than that I like the app.

It started out free, but was bought out and turned into a pay service. They want to be your salon one stop shop, but with the subscription fee they still nickel and dime you for everything and push you to use their credit card processing that has a flat fee per/transaction plus a percentage. They only provide support if you are a premium member and are slow to respond by email. They charge you if a new customer books through them, even if they are your client already. Not easy to cancel.
