I was disappointed by how little diversity I got with my recipes. They would literally just be the same 3 variations with different pictures. Also I wish there would be a button for generating a recipe when your pantry has ingredients already. I like the simplicity idea and how the app looks, but I don't feel like I got the value from what I paid.
Reviews for Fridge Recipe Generator: Crumb
← Back to Fridge Recipe Generator: CrumbI didn't get an opportunity to really use the app before being forced to subscribe, so I have really no way to tell if it is worth my money. What I did find is that dictating my ingredients really wasn't a great UX flow, especially when the app decided it was done listening to me in the middle of my list
You can't switch to imperial units due to app design (you can't scroll and where it puts the last item in the list is where most phones put their back buttons...) and it doesn't save your pantry unless you pay.
As expected from ai; absolute garbage. Edit: I rated the app poorly because when given ingredients like rice and pasta, it thinks that putting them together is a good idea... Macaroni, rice, onions, mixed vegetables, tomato sauce and peanut butter with beef is not something I would ever consider a good choice together.
Nice little app to finds recipes with what I have in my fridge
Doesn't work once you pay
Nice concept, but I thought it was lacking in execution. First time, I typed in my whole fridge, freezer, and pantry inventory. It came up with one meal - it would be nice to have a list of recipes rather than one. I discovered it didn't save my inventory. Re-did allll the typing. The second and third time I used it, my "pantry" list was there but I couldn't use that to generate recipes. Not worth the hassle for limited results.
4.5/5 stars. The app is wholly functional and free to use. I am paying for the annual subscription so that I can have the "pantry" function. As a disabled adult, I sometimes need to make my food stretch because I can't drive to the store and this app helps me with recipes that go further than just "buttered noodles." My only issue is that there is no clear way to manage my subscription so I can't update my card on file or cancel my plan.
An app for busy professionals... All you have to do is press a mic button, tell the app what you have in your fridge or what you fancy eating today, then select cousine and how many portions you want. Then you prepare a meal with step by step instruction. I started doing it for a couple of days at a time. Cannot get simpler then that. Highly recommend!
