It's ok if you're doing something as simple as accepting a job. But anything else you either can't do easily or you just have to log in to the full site, defeating the purpose of the app. It's also either feast or famine with notifications. You either get spammed for every single new posting or you don't get any notifications at all and you manually check the listings to find out a dozen have gone up without warning. Marginally more convenient than the full site.

App has a good interface but limited functionality. Two suggestions: 1. Allow for a notification tone. 2. Allow the function to pick what schools we want for assignments. The second function is great to have on the browser interface and would be helpful in the app too. One more thing, Please consider adding messaging with the teacher we're subbing for. There are scenarios where teachers are still working but not in their classroom so they need a sub. I have a growing list of teacher cell numbers
This app could be *greatly* improved by adding some minor features: -Being able to filter jobs based on the shifts' start and/or end times!!!!! -Being able to search job openings with keywords (i.e. "sped" "se" "monitor" etc.). -When clicking on a job to view end time and location details, when I click 'back' to return to the list of jobs, I end up at the top of the list instead of the location on the list where I just was. The endless scrolling makes me not want to click on the jobs. 👎🏼
Sub here. Like the app but I have suggestions. Wish you had more filter options such as date (not just next 7 days, like a specific date), subject, grade, full/half day, etc. Wish I could hide jobs without rejecting or save jobs without accepting in case my schedule changes. Would like to select types of notifications and not all or nothing. Most of all, wish it didn't refresh to the top every time you tab over to a different app (calendar for example) or click on an assignment for details.
This app is trash! It feeezes constantly, often can't open it for 10-15 minutes. I've uninstalled it and re-installed it just to get the thing to open, and then it happens all over again. This especially happens when you change networks (wifi to mobile, or mobile to wifi). Very rare that it doesn't have an issue with that. Also, jobs are usually gone by the time you receive the notifications that they're even available, so it's just too slow. My phone is a newer phone, and fully updated.
Doesn't always pop up with the notifications. My friend and I keep a look out for jobs for each other, so we won't miss anything; however, today, I had the app open checking, and she saw an assignment for a day we had free, and I didn't, even after refreshing. Then it was gone. Sometimes, I'll have the app open and be on the website. Jobs usually show on the website before the app.
I like this app enough, because it's free unlike many other sub management apps, and it's through the actual Absence Management System instead of a third party. I don't like that it is inconsistent with notifications. Sometimes I get them, sometimes I don't. I am also not able to acknowledge when I am assigned to or removed from a job, so I have to log into the actual website to make the system stop calling me repeatedly to notify me. I also get error message often when trying to open the app.
This app stopped giving me notifications when my phone software updated to Android version 12 on 12/05/21. I have Frontline version 10.23 installed on my Google Pixel 3A phone. Like others, I am also getting the error message when I open the app, but it usually goes away when I refresh it. The notifications settings are turned on. Although they are all turned on, it says that the notifications are ~0 notifications per week. Up until the operating system software updated, the app worked great.
Update: NOTHING has changed with this app in the past year. In fact its getting worse. Constantly " oops something went wrong" warnings. They reply that it was specific to an outage date but it's literally constant. Beyond Frustrating! This app is so slow and glitchy. I'm constantly getting oops! Error message and I'm only connected to one district. I'm constantly having to close out and restart the app. They need to do better.
The app was doing fine, a bit slow and occasionally would not load and might kick me out. Until today, when it wouldn't log in, and when I tried; it continued to tell me I was not part of an authorized group. However, I was able to log onto the web platform without issues. Uninstalled and reinstalled with no luck. Wish this app would just function without major issues as it is a way many depend on daily work. I really hope they find a way to fix it.
