Had it for a while matched alot and start dating a girl as friend ++ for a couple months ( deleted the account ). Couple months after , I created a new account and then... nothing , nada . No like or match, kept the whole same Bio and pictures and even got a warning that I could get suspended😂. Don't care to be honest , but i can understand the ratings and why so many people leaving the app...🙁
Reviews for Fruitz - Dating app
← Back to Fruitz - Dating appBeen using it for a few days, alot of fake or inactive profiles. Would be good to have a green dot in profiles to see if they are using the app. I still haven't got a singel match and most come from France. Better off using tinder or Bumble, more matches there and the price is cheaper. Don't fall for the Fruitz because they went bad.
Location parameters don't work. I have mine set to 15 miles yet everyone who shows up is in France, over 200 miles away. Also, the whole point of the app is the fruit but I have to pay to filter the fruit I want? Kinda defeats the point if I have to manually swipe through anyway so it's not exactly different to other apps then is it?
I thought I bought the lowest tier access to get access to the full functionality for one month. After I realized they charge separately for the ability to send messages and to reveal likes. The price for seeing who liked you is ridiculous, now I feel bad for even paying to send messages. Will uninstall as soon as I used up my messages.
Heavy amount of bots and fake profiles. I've reported and blocked the same profiles over 50 times now. All of the fake ones are in French for me. Everything is locked behind a pay wall, including talking to people if you match. Entire app is a scam. Edit after response: I have reported close to 100 profiles, while having seen less than 30 real people. Edit 2. Seems it's only bots and escorts/ "pornmodel on a site affiliated to Fruitz". Uninstalled.
I strongly suggest you add a type of image screening to your app. I've only checked the app out for a couple minutes because a friend suggested it, and I've already ran into several profiles with men literally just posting their genitals as profile pics and I really don't want to be forced to see those on the start page. People looking for hookups may be okay with seeing that I suppose, but these should either be screened out or you should leave users the option to filter out explicit images.
Very quickly uninstalled. Couldn't get past the profile setup. The app kept saying I didn't allow permission to my photos but I did. Multiple times. Allowed ALL permissions still didn't work. Cleared cache. Still didn't work. Uninstalled. Not worth stressing over.
This app is lagging, every time you swipe you need to wait for the lag to end. More important, I am angry because I sometimes receive a notification that someone liked me, but when I go to the app, it is not the case ! Shame on the app to lie and send false notification. It really annoys me !!
tried premium as I always do with a new app just to be able to have an idea, I normally gather a decent amount of likes and sometimes matches, (I'm rather selective), this one is dead. Problem is that it's even broken and keeps notifying you that you have new likes and there's nothing, zero, nada! Just asked a refound for this embarrassment and ready to escalate to national consumer service attention for malpractice. NOPE!
Doesn't work for me. Subscription service overpriced. I paid for a premium, but to see who liked you, you have to pay again for golden, which is £20 a month! I've had 0 interest despite filling in 100% of my profile. A lot of guy's profiles are quite bare with little to no effort put into them. The only thing that I like about the app is the use of bright colours, and the layout is fun. Disappointing. I get more attention on Match.
No matter what I do, I only get shown the same 3 people over and over. I reached out to support and they said to expand my search area, but I'm already at 100 miles. no way I'm going on a date with someone who's 3+ hours away lol. This may just be a case of an app that lacks the user base to actually be useful. some extra advertising might help get more users so that the app is actually usable.
No one fills out a word of their profile, so I skip them and run out of people to view and get told to change my preferences because no one matches? Filling out profiles should be mandatory on these apps. I can't judge whether I want to talk to someone over a poorly taken photo, no verbiage and a fruit. When I try to edit my preferences the screen has a haze effect like it's loading and nothing happens.
I was really looking forward to this app but there aren't a whole lot of users. (Not a complaint but Julian from Fruitz happens to be 1km away from me, not sure if that's an error or not. It's pretty cool but upsetting that I can't chat with him!) No matter what I set my fruit or distance to, it can't register any users, and it takes forever to load. I'll unfortunately be uninstalling.
It's a sham. You can see profiles and set up one, but the moment you get likes, you have to pay to even see who liked you. So there's really no point to it unless you set a "link" to an external account (like ig or 👻); or they paid and liked you back. It sets up so that only people that are desperate pay for it, which defeats the point of having different "fruits" as you can do the same in any platform, even on Facebook.
Been using the app for over two years, suddenly I was locked out. The app opens to a page that asks my phone number to receive a confirmation code to verify it. When I type the code I've been sent it says the phone number already exists. There's no other option (you can also sign in using your Google account) and no option to contact support. I've emailed what I thought was customer support but I never received an answer. Uninstalled and installed a few times, it didn't work. So frustrating.
Not terrible, but this app feels kinda brand new so there won't be many users online. It definitely will be better once more people sign up for it
DO NOT USE THIS APP. IT USES FEMININE PEOPLE AS A COMMODITY. I am NB, and so is my partner. Their experience and mine differs immensely because I present fem and they don't. The UX is wayyyy different according to whether you defined yourself as masculine or feminine. Much better rewards, more visibility, a lighter paywall, all fruits are visible by default... but ONLY if you pick "looking for women" when they ask who they should show you to. Corporate inclusivity at its finest.
Please fix the bug where you can't upload photos. I'll change my review when it's fixed. Edit: Thank you for fixing the issue. However, now I have an issue that isn't even the developers' fault: the app isn't popular enough. It's a very cute idea and good concept, but there's barely anyone in my area even on the app.
I have been reading a lot of the negative reviews talking about how often the app messes up bur decided to give it a try anyhow. Before I even started swiping 5 out of 6 of the pics I chose for my profile can't be uploaded for no discernable reason and the 6th photo uploaded sideways some how. There is no interface I can see to explain to me why this happened. No ai art, no revealing photos. I'm locked in the profile set up. Can't even use the actual app. The concept is cute. The app is not.
It is really disappointing! At the beginning of registration, when photos should be uploaded, the App tells that there is no access to photos while at the same time, media access is allowed in the settings and there is no other possibility to change it. Everything ended there and no further progress is possible!
