Description
Been playing FT8 Radio for a couple months now. It’s basically an app that lets you receive and send FT8 signals on your Android phone. Pretty solid if you’re into digital radio stuff and remote activations.
The main thing you do is [use the app to] send and receive FT8 traffic. And there’s also features like [feature] and [feature] – took me a while to figure those out but they’re actually pretty useful.
Look, if you’re into digital radio and portable operations, you’ll probably like this. It’s not perfect – can be a bit buggy and the usability is a challenge – but overall it does the job. Worth checking out if that’s your thing.
Editor Opinion
So here's my take on FT8 Radio. I've tested a bunch of digital radio apps and this one's not bad. The core features work well and it's got some good functionality for remote, portable ops. But it's definitely got its issues - the UI is kinda clunky and there are some annoying bugs. Doesn't work great indoors either. Overall though, if you're an FT8 enthusiast and need something for the field, this is worth a look.
