Description
I’ve been using FTP Server for a couple months now. It’s basically an app that lets you run an FTP server right on your Android device. So you can share files with friends or access your own stuff over the internet. Pretty solid app if you’re into that kinda thing.
Here’s what you do: you can use any network connection on your phone, like WiFi or Ethernet, to host the FTP server. And there’s also support for multiple user accounts, so you can give people different access levels. And you can set specific folders that each user can access – no need to share your whole storage.
Look, if you need to share files with people or just access your own stuff remotely, this app is worth checking out. It’s not perfect – the UI can be a bit confusing at first and there are ads unless you pay. But overall it does the job and works well.
Editor Opinion
So here's my honest take on FTP Server. I've tested a bunch of file transfer apps and this one's pretty solid. The feature set is really comprehensive - you can use any network, manage multiple users, and control access permissions. In my experience, it's easy to set up and just works reliably. The only downsides are the slightly cluttered UI and the ads, but you can pay to remove them. Overall though, I'd say it's one of the better FTP server apps for Android.
