I completed the premium subscription, but it has never worked. I contacted customer service and was told it was set up under my wife's email. Neither of us have access, and so far I'm just out the cost of subscription. Our current game is having video quality issues, scores aren't updating and I can't access any premium content to even follow the box score.
This app and associated website are numerous steps back from the original. You can no longer do anything in a web browser as far as accepting admin invitations, looking at game details in a web browser, etc. This is a hard NO for our baseball team, who's manager can't see stats because he's not a cel phone guy. I don't like it either because you can get much more detail on one screen and a web browser. We are researching alternative solutions.
Video option is pretty useless. I'm only saving my video to device cuz I'm testing it before live streaming it. The first issue is there is no pause. I'm not going to continue to record during half time so I end up with two videos. Then I don't seem to be able to do anything with those videos. And only one video can be uploaded per game and even when I upload I still don't seem to be able to do anything with the videos. I can't clip, can't create highlights, can't share,nothing!
So very disappointed. I have had this app for over a week and even at the most basic level of "subscription", it HAS NOT moved past or opened up any further access of capabilities the start up access where all I am allowed to do is find my team and find my player. I can see the schedule of PAST games ONLY!!! I cannot see the season schedule or get to see the game action in "real time" like where balls are hit or field position, runners or at bats. NOTHING! I'm about to delete this darn app!
It seems like it would be a good app if it would work, however, I do not get any notifications for the message sent to the team. I went into my permissions and made sure every permission possible is allowed. If there's a setting in the app, It's not easy to find because I have been looking but can't find any way to turn on notifications. My wife gets some of the notifications but randomly and not all of them.
Overpriced! I have 2 daughters who play travel softball, and high school ball, so we paid for the premium package ($60). Just got an email that in August when my sub is up, the renewal is now $90!!! Assuming there are some amazing new features coming for that 33% increase?!? Because with the streaming issues when you try to live stream, and the difficult nature of correcting mistakes while scoring a game, it's just not worth it for $90 a year. I just can't understand how you justify a $30 jump.
I've been using the gamechanger apps for years and have a full yearly subscription on autopay. I was charged for my subscription on April 18. Today the app is telling me I have to purchase a subscription. Classic works but gamechanger doesn't and my accounts are linked. I have never had any issues until today. No response from support at this time. Very frustrated!!!
I have used 5 or 6 different team apps as a parent. This gamechanger is very relatable which is surprisingly not as common as I would have thought. All the basic features are built into the app such as schedule with times and location. This app has attendance for who can or can't make a game. As well as a chat forum to exchange info and questions to each other. Only thing missing is you can't tag a phone number on your account, just an email address. Important safety issue for little kids.
Do not like being forced to switch from what was payed for. Loosing all previous stats and spray charts really sucks! There should be a way to import all stats and saved team/player info! And now the first time we use it, it is not working or experiencing issues. Really not a good start! Also, very frustrating to not be able to have access via pc. We loved being able to access GC via pc and copy stats and share with players and recruits. Now we are looking for an alternative to this mess!
I had to switch over to Team Manager once I was an Admin of more than 3 teams. Game Changer didn't give me the option. It seems very similar to GC to be able to setup games & score, but I did run into problems attempting to edit one of the player's jersey numbers. They are registered on other teams in the same season, and that could be a possible bug in the system. 90% of the other players jersey numbers were able to be changed. All the parents who rely on the GC app to watch when they couldn't be at a game, had to download the Team Manager app to keep up on the games. The feature of importing your previous teams is very nice. The one thing I DON'T like, it's a mobile device only app - I usually like to schedule games & run the stats on a PC / laptop, and that doesn't seem to be an option.
