Reviews for GigSmart Get Gigs

My only problem is that they wait until you actually get the job and accept it before they have done your Background check. I just missed 3 Job opportunities because the background check service " CheckR" takes Forever to do the check. Background check gigs are going to hold you up for days, CheckR is slow and you won't get the job until cleared. Takes about a week or so to get clear. So be aware . Very slow, very incompetent, and very frustrating.

App functions slowly and refreshing itself at random times, causing me to rescroll through the same pages several times. And, I just recently learned that when I was transferring money I worked for into my bank account from a certain job, it was automatically set to Rapid transfer without my knowledge. I thought it was set for regular transfer (like it was with other jobs I'd done) and I ended up paying $11 altogether (due to the 3% transfer price) for them all. An hour's worth of work, almost.

Ieam its okay, not very many gigs in my area but better than all other apps I've tried so far (+5). Kinda confusing on when you have to wait for someone to respond to tell you whether or not you got the job. I applied to one for 3 days and it didn't even go thru I don't think, no response/alert, nothing. Keep having same issue. Hopefully this new update works.

A little disappointed with the app. There's literally 3 different kinds of work with 1 bachelor party cook, a 2 times a day airshopper, and the rest is a grocery store listing of a cashier/stocker all at Mitsuwa marketplace with the highest pay, but they are not responsive, and take up the majority of the listings. Have more options, and have more RESPONSIVE options. My application has been pending over a day and the gig starts tomorrow, and one in a couple of hours and still nothing.

Up to about a few days ago this was a very good app. However, this past week they added a dept.called Ascen without notifying any scheduled workers. So instead of getting instant payment, you have to wait a few days before the time sheets are approved & at least another week until payment is processed/deposited. What's worse is if you try & contact gigsmart ascen, you will get NO REPSONSE nor explanation. Many have walked off this current 4 day event due to this and who knows when we will get $

Shift postings are not steadily available, but are usually good gigs. App is easy to use. Payment from hire is fast, usually in 24hrs. and it can be loaded instantly to debit card of your choosing for like 3% fee. So, $100 in minutes is $3, or free in 2-3 days. Basically like bluecrew, but better. Also background check is optional, not mandatory, but opens up more jobs when completed.

So far mediocre. The gigs available aren't a lot. Some companies post gigs for some reason within the hour you're supposed to be there. You "Apply" for gigs. They aren't automatically accepted. The company posting the gig must accept you in order for you to be hired. I am available and willing to work. Applied for over 7 gigs. Not a single reply on any of them....

This will be a five star worthy app once the library of opportunities is expanded. I really like the app, it's easy to navigate, simple to understand, everything is where you think it would be without having too endlessly click, it has great capabilities that all sync up nicely, & there are indeed gigs open for hire. The only thing that needs improving, in my opinion, is the quantity of opportunities which I assume is only a matter of time before more offer's find their way into this platform.

Adding a new review-old one was 2021. I recently tried to see if there were more options available but the App got hung up on the allow locations screen. It kept going back to it even after I allowed my location to be shared. It never showed me the jobs boards. I had a bunch of notifications from the past--that I hadn't seen and no way to clear out the old stuff. So I uninstalled it again. Such a good premise--but way too clunky. Not user friendly. Couldn't even see if there were more jobs.

The app is MOSTLY good. I have one qualm and it is honestly a big one: DOOR DASH. I have gotten 35 notifications this week and 2 of them were actual jobs and not a reposting in the same doordash posting. It really detracts from the allure of the app. I have had to turn notifications off just so I'm not inundated with terrible post notifications from a terrible "company". They either need to be removed or at the very least add a feature to block certain job posters. It is unreasonable.

The app's solid, but runs a little slow - it takes too long to go through your offer backlog, send a message, or do anything, really (I've clicked to start my gig clock, but paused my time by mistake). I'd also consider posting the gig address before accepting a hire offer; getting there, especially if you're hired an hour before the gig starts, is tough if you don't have a car/Uber. Having people show up to a gig they weren't hired for isn't good, but I'm sure that can be mitigated.

Low, low, low quality work. Offer notifications are sporadic to nonexistent - I've missed accepted applications because of this. Yet, I get push notifications for unsuitable offers that I keep on having to reject. Most applications go unseen. Jobs are super far, even in another state. I've gotten exactly ONE placement that was great. One. I don't even remember the second. A complete waste of time. Uninstalled.

applied for 2 shift gigs, and last night (after midnight) they showed up in applied for. Why did they disappear without any notifications that I wasn't offered or apparently even considered for!?? I'm struggling to maintain housing and am willing to drive all over town to pick up shifts doing anything. NOT A HELPFUL APP AT ALL! Along with the fact your browse options don't work at all they show zero jobs. But 2-3 jobs are listed above the browse option. No response at all from support!

It's not really different than any of the dozens of other Gig Worker apps. Honestly, it doesn't even need to be an app - most apps don't. The profile creation is limited and you have to use their skill definitions (ex. I wanted to put in WordPress and the only option I could use was WordPress Designer). You can resume data but you have to type it in (or copy/paste). It would be a lot easier if they used the LinkedIn or Indeed work history import/apply. Also, there isn't an easy way to delete your profile. You have to contact them which is *very* bad form and why I am only giving it two stars.

Great App to use. I was surprised by the response time I got from the help desk within the app. They do need to find a better system at getting the funds to the person who worked. Once the person has clocked out of the app we then have to wait for the establishment to actually pay us. I had to make a whole bunch of calls just to get in contact with the person who even has control of the app within the establishment. There needs to be someone there at all times( any manager) who can verify info!!

My first choice (besides Craigslist) when it comes to finding side gigs. It really depends on the requester (employer) wether you have a good experience or not, but as far as the app layout goes, I'm satisfied with it. My favorite thing about the app is that after you get paid from a gig, you have to transfer that money manually to a bank/card of your choice that you have on file. That way if your account is compromised for any reason, you won't miss out on the money made from you gig.

While I wouldn't go so far as to call it the worst platform I've used, it certainly has room for significant enhancements. The available opportunities seem somewhat restricted, particularly for those without certifications in areas like welding or forklift operation, or other specialized training. Furthermore, the compensation appears to be relatively low for individuals lacking such certifications.

So far, the gigs I have done, have been kind of fun. I like doing something different pretty much daily. I have quite a few talented skills I've obtained over the years, which gives me my "Jill of all trades, master of none" skill set bringing a variety of gigs available for me to bid on. It's a win-win! Try it, you'll see..

My experience working for GigSmart, was pleasant. My issue was my clock-in time, and my pay. I was paid the next day. But I was $20.00 short. I was marked as late but there on time. My issues are not enough for me not to work for them. I plan to continue to work for them. I was paid rapidly. My rating is 4 1/2 stars.

No gigs yet. Applied to some but I ended up canceling them because I didn't want them to somehow get accepted in the middle of the night and me not show up. Maybe the particular hiring company is bad at checking the app. One thing with the app itself, I changed the range to 15 miles once, and now it won't let me change it or my location, even after reinstalling the app. Map/location part of the app needs some work. Map when opened centers on Africa. Currently 4 jobs that don't respond worldwide
