Almost 10 hours in 3 days using the app. It worked great for me. I noticed ridiculous hourly pay a few times, usually when I accepted a Lyft ride, and an Uber radar pop-up on top. This app is amazing but needs some improvement. I will definitely subscribe after the trial if everything continues the same or better.
Reviews for GigU - Drive Smart, Earn More
← Back to GigU - Drive Smart, Earn MoreGives an inaccurate price per hour for long trips only for Uber. Please fix. I believe it's because Uber has a description with the offer (Long Trip 45min+) along with the pickup time duration and the actual drop-off time duration. GigU will default to 64 minutes for the price per hour. Which at a glance makes the hourly rate higher than what it should be. Once you fix this, I will update my rating. Thank you.
It's a really good app to have doing Uber & Lyft! The cherry pick feature helps you to pick the right offers with a colored card to let you know if its bad, average or good! The colors are red for bad, yellow for average and green for good! And also, it has another feature for your phone camera to record for your safety as well! It's a must get app for rideshare and deliveries to have at your disposal!
Constant rides appear on the cherry picker that do not exist for ridiculous amounts of money. The other day I was getting spammed nonstop for a supposed ride that was trillions of dollars per hour. It continued to pop up non stop for about 10 minutes before I turned the cherry picker off. Now I can't find where to cancel my sub on the app. This is unacceptable that you can't just cancel your sub in the app. I have sent an email and still no response.
When it works and opens with each suggested trip, it's great! But it often will not open
this a great app saves you time doing the calculations and even looking at the phone in many cases. Make more per hour work less per day. Not perfect though but close.
first off you. saying its a 100% safe really Google said the game thing but look they got hacked so that's why it's 1 star for me there all ready off to a good start buy lying nothing is a 100% secure and safe I don't care who you are even keeping your most important stuff on your person in your pocket ant safe eather people get robbed every day fix your ad
It will not read at all when you are looking at trips near you that are reserved for Lyft. Also it is consistently giving the wrong pay per minute, pay per mile, The pay per hour is correct but if it's not showing popping up it's a waste of time. I don't know if Lyft or Uber is consistently updating their app for this very reason but it seems to be the case. I really wish it worked perfectly for me as I would use this every single time I drove and I would happily pay $8/mn if it worked
10/10 only way I deal with Ubers trash offers, I was good at quick math but now I have a stress free drive and the more these guys move to algorithms routes and stats, you will likely be able to train the algorithm.
Very good app. It also makes driving safer, because now I don't have to do a bunch of mathematical somersaults while driving to determine if a ride is good or not. Would definitely recommend.
When it works properly it's great, but the app is prone to displaying inaccurate or incomplete trip data. Actual dollars per mile data is sometimes wildly inaccurate, and passenger ratings don't always show up. Ultimately, you end up having to do the math yourself or risk denying profitable rides based on bad data.Until these issues are rectified, I can not recommend this app.
I really love the cherry picker game, but y'all need to let us know after we've make any decision if we've made the right decision. us drivers we know if we made a good decision usually, but sometimes I don't make the best decisions and I don't know that's and if y'all taught us how to make better decisions I'd be better at making money. also the numbers in the game aren't true to life! I've never ever had rides that paid that much. please check out Houston area rides and what we get paid
So I'm updating my review. The app is working great. The fixed the always on situation and I'm using it 100% of the time. A few suggestions, if I may be so bold. 1. Add a way to input my expenses. 2. Add a way to calculate my actual hourly earnings. These two additions will make the app perfect for me.
Ok, the concept is okay, execution is severely lacking. Values are incorrect and after trying to use this for a week in Uber and Lyft I can honestly say I have lost more money trying to rely on this application's inaccurate information. I would suggest you test your application better. on another note, how the heck do we unsubscribe and delete our accounts. I cannot find this information anywhere... let me also add, give people a way to get rid of that stupid button .
After a couple hours of using it, the overlay stopped popping up ... no idea why. Tried restarting the app and it still didn't pop up. Uninstalling and reinstalling the app may solve the issue and I'll try it again. If it doesn't stay active this time around I probably will not be paying for a monthly subscription.
After about an hour of it being active my phone completely hard crashes. I've tried it for a few days each time crashing my devices within an hour or so. I know it's Gigu is because when I turn it off my device no longer crashes. I filed a bug report and sent an email to try to get a fix. The only thing I received was an email in Spanish that had a case number attached to it (according to Google translate) but no idea what to do at this point. Most likely going to uninstall.
It was useful when it functioned properly. It was fine during the trial period and for a week after paying the subscription. Since then, its accuracy has failed, showing ride rates of $100, to $8,000 per hour. I reached out to support and received a response that the developer knows about the issue. No response or update since, making the app useless. I wanted it to work. I was forced to request a refund. REFUND was denied by Google Play. I have filed a CC Dispute. AVOID THIS APP
This app is a Godsend for those of us who can't calculate miles time it will take to pick up drop off, and look at the map all at the same time within 8 to 10 seconds to make a decision on which rides to take. *Just a quick heads up the 30 day trial has been reduced to only 15 days.
I just finished my 30 day free trial and will not be subscribing to the service further. While I appreciate your efforts here to make a tool for drivers to navigate Uber's neverending smoke n mirrors gymnastics I simply didn't earn any xtra using it. The time it saves me from having to do a math equation on fare requests I spend twice as much later having to go thru and delete the mass amount of pics/vids to keep my storage from filling up. No more space here to elaborate....
good idea, poor execution. when it works it's great. shows pay per mile ans hour in an easy to read pop up making choosing rides easier but it is very buggy. keep getting pop ups even when I'm in a ride that are just gibberish numbers, like constantly, it's distracting. not worth the 7 dollars a month IMO, just learn to round numbers and do some quick mental estimation. if they fixed the bugs and made it a one time purchase, I'd consider buying it but I hate the subscription model.
