Description
I’ve been using GIMP for a couple months now. It’s basically a full-featured photo and image editing app, like a free version of Photoshop. Pretty solid if you’re into that kind of thing.
There’s a ton of tools and features – you can do all the basic stuff like adjusting colors, adding filters, cropping and resizing. But it also’s got more advanced stuff like layers, masks, and custom brushes. Takes a little while to learn all the options but once you get the hang of it, it’s pretty powerful.
Look, if you’re a casual photo editor or graphic designer, you’ll probably really like GIMP. It’s not perfect – the mobile interface can be a bit clunky sometimes – but overall it does the job and it’s completely free. Worth checking out for sure.
Editor Opinion
So here's my take on GIMP. I've tried a bunch of photo editing apps and this one stacks up pretty well. The sheer number of tools and features is really impressive, especially for a free app. You can do just about anything you'd want to do with your photos and images. The downside is the learning curve - it's not the most intuitive interface, especially on mobile. But if you're willing to spend some time getting used to it, GIMP is a really capable and full-featured photo editor that can go toe-to-toe with the big paid apps.
