She ain't comixology but she does more than just float. Just wish I could buy more recent books on it.
Reviews for GlobalComix: Comic Book Reader
← Back to GlobalComix: Comic Book ReaderMaybe its just me but this app gets so laggy after sometime and even crashes every now and then. I wanna love this app but man its making it hard to do so
app gets stuck and freezes all the time when I'm trying to swipe to the next panel. I've tried on two devices and it's the same thing. The selection is nice however I can't enjoy it when the app is being this finicky.
its great comic book section with free content for those who are beginners like me its great with easy UI and UX
Love the fact that paying or subscribing isn't a must to get comics to read Really love the app
it's good one of the best apps they should also add a function to upload comics on Android also
I subscribed 3 weeks ago and it's terrible that most dc comics u have to pay for them even while having gold subscription
it won't suggest anything to me, I have to look every single title up. Just says for me to browse, tried to click on dark horse comics and it wouldn't load up any options.
so you pay for a gold membership and still have a limited selection with comics you have to buy to read 😠
I love how vast the catalogs are. Also, it's a great place to meet and network with other incredible indie comic developers. I appreciate that I no longer have to go physically anywhere anymore. Now, I can tap into a vast network of creators and fans from the comfort of home, and indulge in my erotic comics with like minded people. Very, very great app!!
This is an amazing comic service, one that is not only a spiritual successor to Comixology, but also (rather easily )iit's superior. I can't wait for this app/site to continue to grow!
display issues--the app refuses to show my shelf and current reads and I am instead met with a pop-up that says I don't have any?? it also has stopped saving my spots in the books and doesn't update it either
Best app for comics that tries to cover as many countries\regions they can, give it a try. I am grateful for their services in my country, having access to such a big library of comics. Thank you. and really, give it a try.
When I first got the app it had some issues with panel view, but they've fixed them now and it's working. very responsive team. It's a great app to read comics in. at this point I've read a ton of comics with it. Definitely recommend it!
It was enjoyable when it lasted, but now it's going in a different direction. You have to pay for some of the comic books, which were previously free. The app was fun while it lasted.
Incredible app! For people who don't live in a country where comixology is available this is pretty much essential for anything not marvel related. Sadly the DC comics catalogue is still relatively new and there isn't much of the backlog there, so I hope they'll get that sorted out, I hunger for more Grant Morrison (JLA, Batman & Son etc ) Oh and on tablets it seems to crash a lot for me
Paying for a subscription service, yet having comics locked behind a 2nd. paywall. Its a good app. works well, does what it says it will do. Does provide some free samples or comics. However, popular titles, the ones you want to read are locked behind a 2nd.paywall. Something one should have been made aware off before paying for it, would have been nice to know.
It's great until it decides to stop working. The app will just crash randomly, sometimes it'll crash my whole phone. This isn't a problem I have with any other app, especially apps that's main function is to load comic book panels. I can't imagine that's so demanding that it crashes my phone.
As a user of the website, I love the UI and navigation. Feels even easier to use than the actual site imo. My only complaint is that I find it a little finicky to open up the HUD for bookmarking, commenting, etc., due to it flipping to the next page when I tap on the screen. Otherwise, everything else it pretty great! Keep up the good work!
I really enjoy the app but there are a few kinks that need to get worked out such as needing to reload pages frequently, guided panel zoom support, faster navigation when zoomed in and the progress bar that shows on books you are currently reading is always incorrect. These are all minor things and don't effect my enjoyment of the app. The selection is great and the partnership with the indie publishers makes the subscription a great value. I'll keep it indefinitely
