I use this app to record prayers and then revisit them later. There's a very annoying glitch where you type in a prayer and then push done and it erases the whole thing. It's happened many times and this really needs to be fixed. Thanks! There's no screen shots- its just your normal prayer page. When you type in a prayer and then hit "done" it doesn't save so when you go back to it, it's blank. My screenshot would be a prayer heading that's blank underneath.
Reviews for Glorify: Devotional & Prayer
← Back to Glorify: Devotional & PrayerI have been using Glorify daily for several months. I listen first thing in the morning to help set the tone and direction for my day. This app has been invalualbe in my constant battle against depression and nevativity. However, in the last couple of weeks, the app has not worked well. There have been frequent crashes. Frequent buffering-type pauses in the audio (and in the read-along scroll) have made it unlistenable. I have verified that this occurs on no other app on my device.
This is the best devotional app I've ever used! It's very comprehensive and covers so much. The many options for Biblcal sleep meditations is awesome and helps me to relax and fall asleep with the Word. I enjoy so much, I pay it forward for others. As some have mentioned, I've had issues with the streaks, but contacted them, & it was always corrected. I've offered suggestions, &I seen some incorporated. Money is well spent if you choose to upgrade!
It was a great app before the update which forces us to buy some stupid premium option just to get water droplets. I barely touch this app anymore, I liked it the way it was before. I would've preferred if you made it easier to get the droplets instead of making us pay for them which I find unnecessary. It's irritating when you happen to forget a day and can't even redeem yourself by completing it because you don't have any droplets. Terrible update ruined the app 👎🏽
This is not a bad app at all, and it's very simple. The water drops I believe is a way to keep you devoted, very fun and enjoyable, it builds routines. I like what the app offers and it's something I've looked for in other spiritual Christian apps. I've enjoyed the daily quotes, the reading of the Scripture, the reflection, ending with the prayer. I'm truly not liking the Daily Walk with God routine. It's not wrong at all, but the other format made me feel more engaged, not this one.
Love this app!! I've never felt closer to God than I do every morning when I read my Glorify Devotional. It's also great for looking up scriptures throughout the day, especially the ones that are harder to memorize. I also enjoy reading through some of the smaller books of the Bible like Ruth, Job, and Titus. They have 4 different translations in the English versions, which is really neat to see how each translation puts emphasis on different parts of the scriptures.
This used to be a really nice app, it had a lot of content and options, most of them you had to pay for but it was just a daily reading and devotional that was allowed for free. and I was one of the users who really can't afford anything and never purchased any apps so I was grateful for the little free access. Unfortunately in the last update now they have changed it where nothing is free anymore and you have to pay for everything. Time to move to a different app I guess.
I decided to check out Glorify after seeing so many ads for it. I was disappointed to see features locked behind a subscription fee. The free features are found in many other Bible apps & already I use one that I feel incorporates it all much better. There's also the lack of Bible versions available. Three (3) translations is simply not enough for me when studying the Bible. If it works for you, that's great, but I feel there are better options available that don't charge for extra features.
I have spent years trying to find the right devotional APP. I wanted something that thematically was uplifting, that was easy to operate, that dabbled in scripture but also incorporated reflection, and something that wasn't full of ads and pop-ups. I can't tell you how many I have downloaded only to delete a week or two later. Glorify has been a blessing. It covers the scripture, interpretation, and a period of reflection for prayer... all in 15-20 minutes. Truly awesome
Well made app for daily Christian prayer and meditation. My only wish, feature wise, would be the ability to change the reflection time. I often feel rushed through the daily 3 minute reflection, and the ability to extend that like in apps such as Calm would be helpful. I took two stars off because of the lack of transparency with the payments. It's easy to sign up for a subscription, but very difficult to manage your account or cancel. I'd be happy to pay monthly, but not sure about yearly.
I love this app. It helps me focus on God in the morning. It only takes a bout 15 min. (If you're listening) from verse thru devotional and then a time of reflection and prayer. I only wish we could highlight things from the devotional to add to our notes and I wish we could access the "Thought For The Day" stuff after the week passes. I really liked when they did the theme "loneliness" and was wanting to revisit them again but can't access them. But I really love this app.
While I loved this app in the beginning, I am beginning to struggle with it. I no longer earn droplets for some reason, and the daily walk with God is repeating itself and stuck in the same few teachings. Some of them I have heard three times. The groups are nice but if you miss a day you can't go back to see what was said. I also miss the prayer tab. I also wish you could have multiple bookmarks for the Bible.
Nice while it lasted. The features are solid and to be honest, I was surprised that so much quality material was free. But I dislike being led on with basically an extended trial period with no warning that it would be limiting access to the more robust content almost entirely after only a month or so. Additionally, it would have been nice to have the day change occur in the middle of the night, as I've lost my streak on multiple occasions when I didn't login until after midnight before bed.
i love the different options available every day but there's so many buttons to click just to complete them! Open the app, click the daily, confirm I opened the daily, start the routine, confirm I finished the routine, decide on listen or read (but not for everything, so if I can't use audio at that point in time, I miss those)... I'm decision fatigued out just doing my daily routine in this app. I love the options but so many hoops to jump through makes me not want to even open the app.
Very frustrated with the update that doesn't allow me to see my own highlights for each chapter. I can turn off community highlights once viewing the Bible, but I can't see how many highlights I have per book anymore, since it always shows the number of community highlights (often 1k+). I don't can't easily scroll through each individual highlight in my journal as I have hundreds of them.
I used to use Glorify on a daily basis for well over a year and I loved it, however, there were glitches that began in Sept breaking my streak, though I never missed a day (already spoke with customer service and they were researching) & now with the most recent update, I can't repair my streak unless I'm paying for the pro version. I don't care for the update. I really enjoyed the style of the daily devotional beforehand. It was easier to do in the morning.
Everything this app has to offer will help you grow in your faith, encourage you, and strengthen you. Its perfect for study, meditation, and just putting on while you fall asleep. The voices are so relaxing and the way they read scriptures, with their emphasis and pauses, not rushing through, makes it penetrate the heart much deeper. There isn't a whole lot yet considering the app is still getting started. But I'm looking forward to all of the content to come.
I hate to rate this app this low, as I've loved it for years but I have to because of the most recent update. I don't mind some of the extra features being behind a subscription, though that does limit what you can do in the app, I wish we were at least able to listen to the passage and devotional free. I loved listening to it to unwind and reflect after a long day and the voices were soothing. But now that it's paid I moved to another app. It has limited options on what you can do free now. :(
Downloaded because I wanted to be closer to God, I'm on my 2nd day and I've already decided to pay for the plus! I'm on a 7 day trial at the moment. This app and the YouVersion Bible app are essential apps for every Christian who wants to go deeper into the word and beyond filled with more faith. More of You Lord and less of us!
This is an awesome app! It provides a quote pertaining to the days theme, daily scripture followed by insight, an interlude of music for introspective, a short meditation then a video with varying graphics of nature walks known as a daily walk with God. It's just a beautiful way to spend time with the Lord. There is more, though i you go deeper into the app,the entire Bible is there, it has lessons for studying, more meditations I,use the sleep meditations at night. There is more, check, it out.
