Made the switch from Square to Gloss genius and it was totally worth it especially with the $30 credit when joining. Lots more options than square offers for your customers, including holding cards instead of having to fight with square about deposits and refunds. Also like being able to send emails and texts all in one send instead of having to send separate emails to every. single. client. Way better than square, 10/10 would recommend.

This app has several flaws. One of them is not being able to take two types of payments on one transaction. Example of paying partially with cash and rest with debit card. I also don't like that someone can't schedule two of the same services at the same time like two women's haircuts. I hate that it sends a client a review reminder ever single time they come in. I shouldn't keep asking once the have left a review only can turn it on or off for everyone.

Overall I am enjoying this app. However, there are a few things that I think would make the app better though: •Not REQUIRING a phone number for clients. Some of my clients don't even have/use a cell phone. Also, some of my clients just meet with me in person and I don't know their numbers. • Having a walk in option. I get a lot of walk-ins and there's no way to check someone out unless they already have a client profile.

HATE the higher pricing for features that are essential, such as being able to connect Google to my booking system or having client forms. Also really need to be able to do back office tasks on the desktop because it takes way too long to do it from the phone, like adding services and checking transaction information. Also, my signature screen at checkout used to rotate to landscape view until they did a big update, now it doesn't and my signatures also turn into scribbles now. PLEASE FIX!!!!

I tried so hard to like this app because it had potential but the customer service skills or lack of is REALLY annoying. Last year I had 8k withheld from me all because of a verification issue in which I had a back and forth dispute about and then now this year I have been trying to get into my dashboard for over a week or two now and still can't even when I have called and text them NUMEROUS times about it. The little help that they do provide is nothing but a waste. DONT WASTE YOUR TIME!

Can't merge same client appointments, can't see weekly retail sales, Google reviews won't be shown on website, website is basic and doesn't let you do much of anything. App is always down, and no notifications are given. For $50 a month, I'm extremely disappointed in the app and company as a whole. Going to start shopping around for a new booking app

The app was amazing when I had an iphone, but I recently switched to pixel and now it is very hard to use. Sometimes I can't take payments, and it always says I'm offline which makes it very hard to do anything including booking appointments. I really liked this app, but I'm very disappointed that it doesn't work properly on Android. Expeshaly with how much money I have spent on it.

I love this app. I've been using it for about a year now and it's so easy to use compared to other booking apps. My older clientele doesn't have any issues with it either which I love. I do wish that the deposits are always the same day, like on Friday you don't get money til Monday and in the service industry Friday and Saturday are by far the busiest days.

BEST. HAIR. APP. EVER!! There are some things I wish they did a little differently or maybe 1 feature they could add, but otherwise I seriously have no complaints. Everything is easy to use, easy to add products and services, and I love the auto emails/texts! This app does more than most and at a cheaper price. SERIOUSLY GET THIS APP!!

For the most part I really enjoy it. There are a few areas I think need tweaked such as, options for scanning in/creating gift cards in order to track them, have the ability to create specific discount codes to keep track of promotions and apply them easily at checkout. I also wish there was a way for clients to pay with more than one payment type. Other than those few things I'm perfectly content.

It does ok, sometimes slow in processing transactions. I have a hard time getting customer service when I need someone & I'm not sure if they are having issues or just closed on a Monday. Can't use forms unless you upgrade to the $48/month package, and that package doesn't offer enough of what I need to justify the cost of a new biz not making much. Overall it's ok but I am def looking into other options. Also they didn't deposit my money due to some error, no notification, I noticed and called

I don't like that I can't edit what they send or have the option to send reminders. That's one thing I loved about booksy. Im considering going back. I wish we can get help with inventory where it's more automatic than manually have to add and remove. Also I wish we can select multiple items to delete. Lastly add more than 1 manicure in one transaction. I hate that everything I have to do manually especially adding gratuity. For the amount u pay u would think everything would be automatic.

It's convenient to have everything in the same app. that's all the good I can say. In order for me to get some of my features back, I have to switch to gold and pay more for an app that crashes way too often. I had to let at least 5 clients leave without paying today. This is not the first time. I've texted, emailed, chatted and called with zero answer or resolution. In fact, my call was disconnected twice after a lengthy wait both times! The quality of the app and customer service has plummeted

It is very slow to operate. Charging extra to change settings that can't be disabled. Example: You have to pay for gold membership to be able to manage that your reviews go to Google. If not, they send automatic text to each client to leave a review on Glossgenius app where nobody sees it. And you can't disable this option. Besides that, the response from the help center takes about a week. And mostly it is an automated one. Looking for a better option.

This app would show that I had availability, but when I filled the time slot, it suddenly showed I was already booked. I brought this issue to Customer Service, and they replied, "this doesn't happen with Apple phones." I ended up switching to another service. Within a week, 5 people went missing from my books, yet they had received notifications from GlossGenius.

I love the app it is great!!! One major major downfall that makes me give it a 3????? Customer wait times are consistently hours. If you use the option to request a callback, you will not get the call back. The only way to maybe POSSIBLY get assistance is through text, and that doesn't cover all the problems that might come up.

I'm getting extremely frustrated with this app. The app has been glitching a lot more lately. Today the app doesn't open at all. I've tried restarting my phone, uninstalling, then reinstalling, and when it finally opens up, it freezes and says there's no internet connection which is inaccurate. Checkout doesn't go smoothly at all anymore. I don't know if it's the app or the reader, I can't modify services at checkout. It's frustrating and embarrassing when the client is ready to check and go.

no new update I'm really getting frustrated because it says that I have an update. Available every time I click on update but it never updates my device. Instead, the last time it was updated, was August twenty-fifth, when I opened up my app today, which is the sixth of September. It prompted me to update. I've been waiting for this prompt for some time now. After their tech team assured me that they would fix this bug once I clicked on it it did the same thing, did not update.

The app was easy to use at first and easy to learn. In the last few months the system has been crashing more frequently and customer service isn't prompt at all. I've had major issues with payroll and found out they havent been paying my payroll taxes properly. No one will respond or fix the issue. It's been months of battling with them, and it's effecting my business status. I'm not sure if they got too big too fast, but the issues keep piling up. Payroll crashes frequently, as does booking.

Update. I loved this app until the recent update. They changed the way you schedule a time for an appointment. Now, when scheduling an appointment time for the client , you can no longer type the time. You have to scroll thru the numbers like a dial to enter a time. which leads to many errors. There is no choice to type it's like playing Wheel of Fortune. PLEASE Put back the original way to type in an appointment. This is a critical part of scheduling an appointment.
