Been using the Gluten Free Scanner app for a couple months now. It’s basically an app that lets you quickly scan any barcode to see if the food or drink is gluten-free. Pretty solid if you’re on a gluten-free diet or have allergies.
Here’s how it works: you just open the app, point your camera at the barcode, and it’ll instantly tell you if the product is safe to eat. And there’s also a big database of grocery items, so you can search for products too. It’s got a bunch of languages which is handy. And the offline mode is great – you can use it anywhere without needing internet.
Look, if you’re super strict about avoiding gluten, you’ll probably find this app really useful. It’s not perfect – the database doesn’t have every single product out there – but overall it does a pretty good job at helping you shop safely. Worth checking out if you’re on a gluten-free diet.

So here's my honest take on Gluten Free Scanner. I've tested a bunch of food allergy apps and this one's one of the better ones. The barcode scanning works well and is really fast, which is the main thing. The database seems pretty comprehensive too, though there are definitely some gaps. I like that it works offline - that's a must-have feature. The only downsides are that the UI is a little basic and the ads can get annoying if you don't pay. But overall, it's a solid gluten-free companion that does what it promises.

very useful, quick and no more reading the small print to look at the ingredients!!
It's probably the best GF scanner I have found that is free. From my experience, this has fewer items that can't be found vs. the other apps I've used.
