Description
I’ve been using GO2bank: Mobile banking for a couple months now. It’s basically a free banking app that doesn’t nickel and dime you. You can get your paycheck up to 2 days early, withdraw cash for free at their ATM network, and earn 4.5% APY on your savings. There’s also an optional overdraft protection program and you can even get a secured credit card to build your credit. It’s got a pretty slick app too – looks good and works smoothly.
Here’s what you can do: deposit checks, pay bills, send money to friends. There’s also a savings account that earns a nice 4.5% interest rate, which is pretty sweet. And the overdraft protection is clutch – you can get up to $300 in coverage after you set it up.
Look, if you’re looking for a simple, no-nonsense mobile banking app, GO2bank is worth checking out. It’s not perfect – the $5 monthly fee if you don’t have direct deposit is kind of annoying. But overall it does the job and I’ve had a good experience so far.
Editor Opinion
So here's my take on GO2bank: Mobile banking. I've tested a bunch of banking apps and this one's pretty solid. The no-fee structure and early direct deposit are big pluses in my book. And the savings account rate is also really nice. The app itself is well-designed and easy to navigate. The downsides are the monthly fee if you don't have direct deposit, and the overdraft protection is only available after you set it up (not automatic). But overall, I'd say GO2bank is a great option if you want a simple, straightforward mobile banking experience without all the nickel and diming.

I only installed this app to leave a review for anyone considering this card, and as soon as I click Post, I'm deleting it. I'm being charged a $5 fee...
ETA: updating my review. This bank is extremely frustrating with pending charges. Pending charges don't show up on your account, or shoe briefly, so you never know what transactions haven't...
