Reviews for Goblin Tools

I love this App! 10/5 for helpfulness! I constantly forget it exists but when I do remember it handles my problem pretty well. I've made dinner with the contents of my fridge with such ease I thought I was neurotypical for a sec. The step by step is great cause I love to skip steps but this keeps me on track and had check boxes so I can see my progress and what I skipped 😉 But I can really only give it 3/5 for functionality. It freezes a lot and often takes so long to load I can't use it.

so far so good, I do have some suggestions but personally would say it's an autisum/adhd must have. helps me break down hard to do tasks into little easier small tasks and helps me make grocery lists for cooking! I wish I could save it somewhere for later on the app instead of having a print or copying it so I can save it for later if I want to make a new list but other then that so far it's a 10/10💕

Wow! I am impressed. Simple app that does what it says it does. I didn't have high expectations but after I typed in a rather complex task (restore a boat), the app typed many reasonable steps. Each step could be further broken down. Man! I'm gonna use this thing every day. Heck, I might teach my kids how to break down the large elephant into bite-sized sections. Nice work. Thanks.

Lots of potential. It's a little vague on things which is fine, but I'd love to see a future version that can really give you specific plans. I was attempting different ideas to make a full workout program. It did a very good job explaining how to make a plan, but was very bad at the specifics of that plan and actual time the workout would take. It seems to struggle with details, but definitely gets the big picture spot on! Looking forward to playing with it more and using it to stay focused.

This is so helpful and has so much more potential!!! My favorite- putting things I've written in there to adjust them for almost anything, more/ less professional, casual, funny, sarcastic, shorter, longer, more. using it to judge my own words or someone else's. It goes into much detail for us neurodivergents who like that. I would love to see more features, similar to what they already have like form a grocery list for you based on what you want to eat, dictionary (they kinda have a thesaurus)

While the app has amazing potential, it has nearly constant glitches. Especially with the to do list. Things don't stay in the order that you put them and the to do list frequently freezes or doesn't load at all. Makes it really hard to add things or check things off. These issues have been going on for at least a year. I do keep telling people about the app. But I think I have to switch to something more reliable as I check the app and my list many times a day.

I am genuinely over the moon about this app - I've been using the free website for a while now, but I wanted to support the developer and decided to pay for the app. Hands down the most useful tool I have found for a comparatively 'high-functioning' AuDHD-er. Helps me not to agonize over the tone of my texts and emails and just generally makes the 'administrative' tasks of daily life much easier! Absolutely worth $1.99!

This app is amazing for organizing thoughts, breaking down tasks, even figuring out the tone in a text! It's fantastic for the Neurospicy crew because if you have loads of things in your head but you don't know where to start, there's a function that can organize that and then you can move it to the Todo list and have it break it down into manageable tasks! It's so easy to use and there's no ads or in app purchases!! This is my new favorite thing!

Reordering tasks in the to do list is hit or miss - mostly miss. For some reason, when you add tasks one at a time, it adds the new task to the top of the list, not the bottom, and good luck being able to drag and drop to reorder items. So if you're like me and need to see the tasks in the order you mean to do them, unless you're able to plan your to do list in reverse and enter it that way from the start with 100% accuracy, the to do list is basically useless.

I haven't gotten to use the tool very much, but I really like the concept so far. I think some sort of ui update would maybe be nice. Also, I'd like the ability to drag to-do items into other ones to automatically make them sub actions. As it is now if I compile my thoughts into a to-do list and then send it to the to-do area, they are all seperate main actions, and I can't really drag them into eachother to make them sub actions, so I just have to copy and paste over and over. pls fix!

This app is amazing. I would always take up so much energy making these ridiculously detailed lists for... Well... Any process/chores/etc. This app DOES THAT FOR YOU!! you can select how much breakdown of steps you want AND breakdown those steps even further. Not sure past that but I wouldn't be surprised. Also, the part where you can dictate the main things, it will set up that as a list for you! I'm thrilled it's so cheap but honestly, I'd pay legit money for it, even if it was a monthly thing

I've been searching for a good planner/to do list app for a long time. All of them require subscriptions or have ads, and just have not been what Im looking for. But this? It's wonderful. No ads, the suggestions are pretty accurate but can be altered/removed, and you can add your own. It's a really simple design format, and it's easy to use. The only flaw at the moment is the time estimator hasn't been accurate for me, and it can't be edited. Other than that, i can't recommend enough.

This is what AI should be for, and this app has been great so far! Some features I'd like would be to set up repeating tasks, and "task due" notifications. I'd also like a widget, but that's not a necessity. I use this app daily, and it's been a huge help, so I'd also like the sync function to work properly. My tasks don't sync to my other devices, and I'd rather not write them all down again. That said, I do recommend this app for my fellow ADHD sufferers.

Great app! I wish it had one more function: "The Decider." Many neurodivergent people struggle with choosing among available options when there's no quantifiable, objective distinction to identify the "best" selection. For example, "I found the best carry-on bag to order. Do I buy the pink one or the blue one? They're equally pretty!" I'd love this app to let me enter my equally-good options and then just tell me one at random. But I guess I'll use an old-fashioned die for that. 😂

So first off I'm not having any issues that others are describing. I think it's a shame there are many apps on the Play or App Stores that don't do anything different than Goblin Tools in terms of breaking down tasks, but charge $10 or more a month to use. This is the real deal; it works great, has multiple different tools like a filled tool belt ready to go, and the UI isn't distracting. It has a one-time cost and that's it. Perfect for brains that forget about subscriptions/free trials easily!

I LOVE this app!! I love that it can turn my brain dump into a to do list and break that down into subtasks and can even teach me things. I would really like for the app to have a shopping list, be able to use my contacts list and fill phone numbers and such into my to do list, and be able to manage my time with reminders alerts and alarms. A sticky note feature would be another great addition (so I can remember ideas that come to me and access them easily). I am so very excited about this app

Its a GREAT app, but I wish that we could group multiple tasks together and still be able to break down more into the sub catagories under each task. For example, I have 3 tasks for just my bedroom that have sub-tasks. It would be nice to be able to group them under a 'bedroom' category or something so I can keep things more visually appealing and easy to find when one place has multiple items, instead of having a massive list of every task for each room/ category. I hope this makes sense!

It's absolutely great for me, sometimes brain is overwhelmed and can't focus. So something to do the start think for me makes things easier. Everything there is great, but there are some things I wish would be added. Firstly being a calendar+day scheduler so the broken down tasks aren't sitting in the liminal of my mind until I find motivation. The other would be widgets so it's right in my face when I open my phone, otherwise I struggle with the "out of sight out of mind".

TL;DR: Everything I could ask for. Their website is free to use, but I wanted it on my phone for convenience and the fee was more than worth it. The to-do list is excellent and easy to use, and you can use AI to break the task into parts (and delete any few which are either wrong or redundant, though I've had little issue with that). Chef didn't add a ton of extra ingredients, and you can use AI to check tone of messages (and edit them for use), so this is excellent for neurodivergent folx

Very useful tool. I recommend it to anyone looking to become more organized. A "smart" to-do list with a few other features. It's pretty cool that it will take an unorganized thought stream and turn it into tasks and then give you a pretty liberal estimate of time it may take to complete them. The fact that there isn't ads or a subscription are huge draws. It's a no frills tool that doesn't paywall features or hide them behind a subscription.
