Started out with a different app, but it was too expensive to continue so I searched for free fasting apps. I have paid for the membership of this one as it was so reasonable for 12 months. It is absolutely brilliant, everything you need to start your fasting journey, but also for experienced fasters like me still loads of features to enjoy. I love having the customisable widget on my phone screen showing the info I want at hand. Cannot fault it at all. I definitely recommend trying it out 👍🏻
Reviews for GoFasting Intermittent Fasting
← Back to GoFasting Intermittent Fastingthis app is okay, but the analysis and historical insights are really inaccurate. for example after using it for 4 days my longest fast at the top is 17 hours which is correct yet the bar chart immediately below doesn't reflect this and even states some fasts of 5 hours which is false. seems impossible to find your start finish fast times for previous days for these reasons, I'm finding an alternative Thanks for the reply, that's good to know but would be better if it was made more obvious :)
I'll say this, it has one of the worst sticky ads I've ever experienced. There's an ad that won't go ahead no matter how many times I try to exit, it won't let me in the app. I don't mind ads but if they're consistently annoying then I'll simply find something else.
I was really interested in going Premium. Tried to buy the 12-month plan — it just kept loading and never went to the payment page. Same problem with the monthly plan. Finally, I clicked on the Lifetime plan, and that one worked. The amount was deducted from my bank account, but the app still didn’t upgrade me to Pro! I contacted support, but got no response at all. Very disappointing.
I really do like this app ive only used it for 2 days but i like how i can put a lot of my data in, like specific body size not just weight or i can count steps/measure water intake using the app. Also i like how you can learn and read about fasting and how it helps/affects your body. Although one thing is it only tells me to drink water after i record my water intake so it's not very helpful. i do like the app though very helpful with seeing my data all in one place, do recomend !!
This app causes my fitness tracker to go crazy. It keeps sending notifications ti my tracker that cannot be dismissed. The first couple of months were good but now I had to uninstall the app. The worst part is I paid for the premium edition and there are no refunds. I am no longer impressed. I have learned my lesson on paying for "premium" services.
I would give it 2 stars but really do enjoy the overall ease of use, but I seem to be experiencing some frustrating issues. It really seems to drain my battery. I love the widget feature but every time I open the app, the timer on the widget stops and I have to replace the widget to restart it. The app also seems to interfere with my alarms. I have an alarm set for 6:45 to get up for work and I normally use the DND until next alarm option but if the app is running it says a different time.
I went through a bunch of fasting apps before I found this one. The other apps had one or two of the features I wanted and even then they were flaky at best. This app I feel has the right amount of free to paid items and it even looks nice too! The reminders for me are the biggest thing I wanted out of an IF app. I like the sticky notification that you cannot accidentally remove as well as the reminder notification to start/stop your timer.
All the links open an email sending a request to be a translator for the app - all of them. There is no link to contact customer service specifically, unless you want to be a translator, of course. I may have been charged twice because when I clicked on Redtore Purchase trying to contact someone, it said my purchase had been restored, except I've never purchased anything in this app. Just avoid it.
I use this in conjunction with another app because that one has a free widget & shows the elapsed time. GoFasting only shows time left & the widget is only for Pro. I'd love a stripped down version with less busy screen. I really like the variety of plans & that you can edit start times if needed. I don't mind ads since it's free. I do wish I could add my 18:6 plan. That will be why I won't renew the paid version.
If you like games and strive to win. This application helps with your fasting by keeping track of it. The articles are good they help motivate and inform those who do not understand fasting. It's simple to use. You can see your progress on a graph of start wt. You can log in your latest wt. It's very simple. I don't like logging food in so this application is perfect. I find when I log food in I fail. So far I've lost 5 lbs in 3 days by doing the 20:4. SIMPLE TO USE!
Was great when I started using it but things changed. Too many ads now. When you get the ads you have to shut the app down and start again to log your info. Also sometimes when you stop fasting (and double check that you have logged it correctly) when it is time to start fasting again, it has not logged your stopping. Very frustrating. I am trying to find a better app.
This is an update. I love this program. Besides a little hiccup, I highly recommend using program and upgrade. It allows me to adjust and input data really easily. Reminds me when I need to fast and when I need to eat. Took a few days to get into habit. I can input the water intake. The program has awesome meal recipes and recipes for smoothies, which I love. Anyone who in the past had trouble with dieting, setting goals, and sticking to them, this program is for you. There are more features.
I really wanted to like this app but I've had a difficult time trying to figure out where everything is. The one feature I really wish this had was the ability to manually change my start and stop fasting time. if I forget to log it in, I can't go back and change the time. so I'm stuck with times that aren't accurate. I do like the workouts and being able to log my cycling times (although it keeps changing my time if I put 10 miles in, or if I put my 1 hour in, it changes my miles).
Pros; Three days in, I love the simplicity of this app. It motivated me to see my goals and progress. The articles can be read in just a couple of minutes or less. Cons; The recipes are available only if you subscribe and pay. You must carry your phone at all times for the step counter and the reminders because they're not loud enough to hear if you walk away from the phone. Over-all, a great app with beginner to advanced settings. I use the step counter when I use my elliptical.
It's good in some ways. Easy to keep track of fasting. However, to even enjoy opening the app without ads is only possible if you subscribe to plans. I don't find it worth subscribing and a little annoying that they try to force you to subscribe by annoying you with endless ads. I ended up uninstalling because of that.
Great for tracking fasting but continuously drops my water intake 😔. I am not counting on the step counter feature. It is accurate though, judging by my regular counter. I do not always have my phone and have to manually add, and at the end of the day I would transfer my total from my regular step app. It drops like the water total. Great to track fasting times though.
I paid for this app because it appeared to have all of the things I wanted.... however, the step counter never worked and the water tracker kept "losing" the data I put in. essentially, this was nothing more than a glorified timer with some recipes and decent articles. repeatedly made requests with other users on their forum and sent emails about the issues. no response. I'm only giving it three stars because I did learn a few new things from the articles. otherwise, just time yourself.
I use this app primarily for recording my fasting. I don't always have a set time in which I can eat. Some fasts are 14 hrs. Some are 20+ hrs. Because I don't eat at set times, I rely on this app to let me know if I fasted long enough when I get a chance to eat. It's hard for me to remember when I ate. So imagine my frustration when I open the app only to discover it did not save my last recording. At first I thought it was my mistake. Nope, I definitely recorded my time.
An efficient app, but even after paying for an annual subscription, I am flooded with ads and it wants me to spend more money to access other areas and get flooded with more ads. Often the ads will freeze, blocking me from using the ap. Are you kidding me?! I paid good money for this? When my year is up, I will try to find another one. If they cut down on the ads for paid subscriptions, I would recommend.
