I LOVE gohunt as a company, the people (customer service is top notch) and Filtering 2.0 service is easy to use and a must have. With that said, mobile Maps was launched too early IMHO. Had issues w/ desktop version created waypoints not showing up in the phone app version. Now, the app won't even open. It starts, says I'm online then automatically closes. Such an awesome concept and once it's ready for prime time they'll have a one stop shop. But now.... It needs work.
Reviews for GOHUNT / Hunt Research & Maps
unreliable maps on my phone even when I have service, so I still have to have onX because that app works even when I dont have service. I do like the hunt planner though.
Love the app. Really wish it supported landscape mode for large screen devices. Blows my mind that it doesn't do this already!
The desktop version is fantastic, but the app has been very unreliable. Slow loading and the GPS in offline mode has been wildly inaccurate. I've updated it as often as i can and even un install re install. I'll keep the insider and, therefore, the mapping due to everything else being badass, I don't trust my hunts to the app currently. Edit: The service team has been in contact with me and multiple updates have come out since. The GPS has been MUCH better and very accurate. Great work Gohunt!
terrible, app wouldnt load anything , couldnt research anything , only thing that worked was the map and even then i couldnt view layers lost my patience very fast cancle and uninstall
too slow for me. How do I cancel my subscription? why is it always difficult to back out?
I paid $130 for the subscription and as soon as it charges and activates I can no longer use all app functionality. I constantly receive internal server errors.
Not user friendly. I've had the app for months and still have problems trying to navigate it. I probably won't be reupping it after my subscription lapses.
Only option is giving a card for the “free trial”—no real free version. If you forget to cancel, you get hit with a ~$160 annual charge. The developer chose an opt-out trial instead of opt-in, which profits from busy people missing the deadline. Their reply here just sidesteps the real issue. This isn’t about needing card info—it’s about deliberately designing a system that traps users into subscriptions they didn’t mean to keep.
Really good mapping app that covers all the bases but still could be improved. The web version is awesome however on the mobile version I would like to see a feature where you could resize or potentially draw the area that you want to download. The small square outline results in a really messy map when you want to download large areas and many overlapping downloads. Additionally I am frustrated that you have to download the map with the layers you want. I wish they would be added automatically
