Here we go again...the story/movie says "Free", which only pertains to the first so-called chapters, which are about 3 minutes long, and then the ads...too many of them! Then you expect me to pay $19.99 a WEEK to watch the end? No thanks...I can spend that money on a book, and dont have any ads to watch! This app isn't worth it to me...maybe to others.
Reviews for GoodShort - Short Dramas Hub
← Back to GoodShort - Short Dramas HubI can't watch a full set of episodes. I'm not a cliffhanger fan, so watching a single 1 minute clip at a time is frustrating. I get that you have to make money, but there is currently no subscription model and the rate of earning credits is WAY too time consuming. Also, to watch a 70 episode short at 50-70 coins each requires at least a $30 investment. That's insane. I can see a movie in a theater for that price. Buying enough coins for a single drama series should be $5-7 to be fair IMHO.
After seeing part of a story in an ad while playing a game, I got out of the game after downloading this app. Wasn't expecting all to be "free" stories, there's even ads/commercials on TV. Not knowing how the rip off works, after watching a few episodes and paying $4.99, thinking it covered the complete story, I found out it was BS. Probably could buy it in paperback for the price I paid to watch 37 of 83 episodes, and the actors were just as cheesy. Uninstalled after sending them an email!!
There are so many ways to watch the drama but only when u watch a lot of ads but at least the bonuses stay till whenever u need them unlike other apps where the bonuses disappear after the next day. I just noticed that they force u to give them a five star and afterwards they increase the number of bonuses to watch one episode from 20 to 35. Frauds!
This app is absolute garbage. I've been waiting for over a week to advance to the next chapter and it keeps showing me chapters I've already seen. Then wants me to watch another ad to see more of the same stuff I've seen or buy coins, which aren't cheap. My streaming services are more reasonably priced! I'm uninstalling. There are better apps out there.
The stories are entertaining in the same way that trash TV and books are, I like them, but, there's no way to buy just one story or get like a VIP day pass. $20/week subscription is ridiculously high. You can watch ads to unlock the story for free, but, you can only do that for 5 "episodes" a day and each episode is only somewhere between 5-20 seconds long which makes trudging through it really slow. You'll lose more users than gain any if you keep the subscription platform as it is.
It locks you into stories and then makes the coins that need to be used go up more and more every time you buy. And $19/week, maybe worth $10/ month. I see people are saying there are ads, well I haven't seen a single ad to keep going. Do like some other short story apps and let people watch ads for more episodes, not puny pts. Shouldn't the ads pay more for the actors in these anyway. I love the story lines, but when I can't watch from start to finish because I'm can't afford $19/week, pointless
Advertise with a partial story showing you multiple "episodes", then force you to download if you want to see the ending, only to make you start at the beginning again. Each episode costs 50 "coins" and you can only watch 5 ads a day not to pay for those coins. Oh, and $5 only gives you 500 coins and they don't indicate how many episodes per story. Very expensive for subpar stories. Once I'm done with the story I'm on by watching ads, if I can put up with the frustration, I will uninstall.
the only thing that is irritating is the ads for GoodShort says watch from beginning to end free. yes it is free but the amount of ads and usually the same one over and over again is the irritating part. I think for every ad you have to watch a person should get at least 3 or four episodes. other than that i love it and the stories.
The ad is a fraud. it states that it's free and you can watch it from start to finish. No cost and then to watch it requires either a payment or watch ads and only a few daily. The stories are really good but the cost is high and really hard to get bonus rewards. When you get 40 to 50 bonus rewards that only covers 2 episodes. It can get very expensive. Wish all the ads that you do get bonuses on covered more than 2 or 3 episodes.
Enjoying the experience, but given that I can't afford to spend money on it, progress is slow. I depend on watching ads to get the coins to watch the stories. I only wish that each clip was a little longer. I will be uninstalling the app eventually because I can't spend my whole life watching ads! But I'm sure it would be a great app for someone who's working, and who has money to spend on it.
The ad you watch to get episode averages 3-5 times longer than the episode. In order to get me to spend real money, I need to watch a couple of stories to see if I like. At only 5 ads a day, if I can bear to watch that many ads before just giving up and uninstalling,, I figure it would take more than a year before I'd pay a fee and rate app higher.
this is said to be a free app in the ads on Instagram, where you don't have to pay. that is a lie. you can watch the first few episodes then imyou have to pay for coins or a subscription. which it specifically said you don't have to in the ad. if you'd like to watch good shorts and only have to watch 2 less than 15 sec. advertisement before a new chapter let me know. very disappointed in the false advertisement.
I'm sure some of the content is watchable. If you're willing to pay premium for it. Watching game ads, with no way out other than to be directed to GooglePlay, for less than 60 seconds of viewable movie content before the next debacle (game ad) isn't "free". Netflix, Paramount or, literally, any other, potential, streaming service would be money better spent. Provided they're not demanding payment per item watched.
I paid for 300 coins plus 100 bonus, and it deducted coins from me for scrolling through the episodes that it played for me for free on FB!!! NOT getting any more of my $. I should have been able to pick up where the free viewing left off. This was disappointing. I found another drama audio app that works more fluidly for me. I really was hoping to see what happened next. All that happened was me wasting my $ instead.
It claims to be a totally free app but isn't. You get prompted every chapter, about a minute or two to purchase a subscription, buy coins to see next chapter or watch a five minute ad. I would not recommend,. I understand needing to pay to watch, I take exception at being mislead by promises of free viewing. You can only watch 5 ads a day for free viewing which means you can only see about 5 minutes of show per day. No fun at all.
The stories are great! Very entertaining. However, the bonus ads only give 4 coins vs the amount it costs to watch an episode. This is the only short story app I have ever seen pay so little to watch 20 minutes of ads. And I watch multiple apps. I highly suggest raising the amount per watched bonus ad considering your competitor's amounts are way higher. You are going to lose alot of ppl, I can see by the reviews alot of others are saying the same thing. Please listen to your viewers,& adjust.
A little pricey. I don't usually spend money on apps like these, but I was enjoying the show even if it was a bit cheesy. I paid 14.99 for 1500 coins and over half of the "episodes" were ones they had already played in the ad. And apparently the farther you get in the more expensive it is. It started out 50 coins, and now (whatever episode I'm on) it's 70 coins. I would have liked to see the end but I'm not about to waste any more money. I can go to an actual theater movie for the same price
This app repeats the episode where you left off, wasting coins each time you watch any story. One time, even after logging in, the app went back 4 episodes because it didn't properly save where I left off. If it weren't for that, I'd say this is is a 4-star app. If the subscribe prices weren't ridiculously high, I'd say this is a 5-star app.
I've seen many great movies on this wonderful site, so far. I refuse to pay subscriptions for things like this, so I really appreciate that GoodShort lets you endure ads to proceed. I DO wish it was possible to see more episodes/day. Sometimes site only lets you see 6 or 7 episodes of a movie you haven't seen b4, then tells you to come back tomorrow. Or says ads aren't avail. Then shows ads that don't count. Sometimes "tomorrow" turns into days or wks b4 more episodes show up or ads work.
