Description
Been using Google Family Link for a couple months now. It’s basically a parental control app that helps you set healthy digital habits for your kids. Pretty solid if you’re looking to manage your family’s screen time and app usage.
Here’s what you can do – you can set daily time limits for different devices, schedule downtime and school time so the kids can’t use their phones 24/7. There’s also an option to approve or block apps, which is pretty handy. And you can see where your kid’s device is located, in case they ever lose it.
Look, if you’re a parent who’s trying to help your family develop healthier tech habits, you’ll probably like this. It’s not perfect – the app can be a little clunky at times – but overall it does the job. Worth checking out if you ask me.
Editor Opinion
So here's my take on Google Family Link. I've tested a bunch of parental control apps and this one's one of the better ones. The core features work really well - I like how you can customize the screen time limits and app permissions. And helps the kids find a good balance without being too restrictive. On the downside, the UI can be a bit confusing at first and the location tracking isn't always 100% accurate. But overall, it's a pretty solid tool if you're looking to manage your family's digital habits.
