So here's my take on Google Maps Go. I've tried a bunch of different map and navigation apps, and this one's honestly one of the better lightweight options out there. The interface is clean and easy to use, the directions are generally pretty reliable, and the real-time traffic updates are super helpful. And the fact that it takes up way less storage than the full Google Maps app is a big plus, especially if you've got an older phone. The only downsides are the occasional inaccuracies with transit info and the fact that it can be a bit buggy at times. But overall, I'd say it's a pretty solid choice if you want a streamlined, on-the-go mapping solution.

Description

Been using Google Maps Go for a couple months now. It’s basically a lightweight version of the regular Google Maps app, but it still does pretty much everything the full app can do. Pretty solid if you’re into navigation and maps.

Here’s what you can do: you can search for places, get directions, check traffic, and even plan out routes using public transit. And there’s also real-time updates, which is super handy. And the interface is really simple and easy to use – took me a bit to figure out all the features but it’s pretty intuitive.

Look, if you’re someone who’s always on the go and needs maps and navigation on your phone, you’ll probably like this. It’s not perfect – the directions can be a bit off sometimes and the transit info isn’t always 100% accurate. But overall, it does the job and it’s a lot lighter on your storage than the full Google Maps app.
