I guess it depends on where you are, but I waited forever to get approved and paid for a background check only to be offered 45$ once i accepted, and then it was canceled. This seems like a big waste of time and no real work. Thanks for stealing 49$ from me to pay for the background check.(update they asked me to follow a link for support that went no where thanks for wasting more of my time.)
Reviews for GoShare Driver - Delivery Pros
← Back to GoShare Driver - Delivery Pros🚨Scam ALERT🚨 $45-$50 background check fee should be covered by Goshare, not drivers. Low-paying gigs pay less than $1/mile, excluding mileage, travel time, gas, and wait time at pickup, plus no pay for getting there. If you cancel close to pickup, they deduct that fee from your next delivery. For example, you drive 40+ minutes expecting a big payout, but instead get a deduction due to a previous canceled trip. Horrible practices! Check Reddit to hear stories from other drivers. #FactCheck
This app doesn't have a map of your area to show open jobs that are available. I haven't received any notifications from the app for anything and the driver support keeps trying to tell me I must have power saving options enabled for me to not be receiving notifications. I explained that I don't and they pretty much told me good luck. Priorities are in the wrong area. I'm 2 weeks in, let's see how long it takes me to get a notification at least.
App needs an update and lots of improvements that they have been promising for awhile now. Pay is often pretty bad, and does not pay you for time and travel to the pickup site or from it back home so it often winds up not even covering your gas costs. Oh and they make you pay for background check, with promises that it can easily be made back. Yah not so much! Better apps out there for gig workers, wish I could say this was one of them but it's not currently. Live you learn!
Not enough work, delayed delivery notifications. Haven't been able to secure a gig in the last 30 days. Went with another app that literally had about 10 gigs in one day.. . . . Edit: of course you can't find it without my full name. This is not spam. You want it removed so you can hide the facts I stated here. You want my account so you can violate me. That's why.
My area(orlando florida) there is barley any work, its so bad that if a job ever gets posted its already gone by the time you click on the notification. I dont know if this is because of a lack of orders or if there is a flaw with the application. But it is so fustrating to go through so much to sign up, pay for your background check and then cant even get one job and its been about 2 months since i started, this has been nothing but a waste of time and money. Hope something changes soon.
I have done everything they suggested to get notifications in a timely manner, and it just doesn't help. If you don't have 5G or an iPhone, don't even bother! I have become very frustrated with this whole notification process. I end up getting the jobs nobody wants to do, and missing out on the better paying deliveries. I'm warning you ahead of time, this will frustrate you beyond belief!!! Good luck👍 Edit: 7 Months to reply to my review! So pathetic! And STILL doesn't send alerts to Android
Used to really like this side gig as there was consistent work and the pay was fair for box trucks/cargo vans. But as of the last few months they've begun slashing pay to next to nothing. On top of that when a job does pop up it gets taken at break neck speeds, often times the app crashes when trying to view the details. Another issue is more often than not you're not given sufficient time to get to a pick up. Only positives are support is often helpful when an issue arises. Do better GoShare.
Definitely not liking the jobs just popping up at random times. I was trying to do this to supplement my full time income, but this is not helping at all. It would be days to weeks that I wouldn't get anything and when I do I can't do the job because I'm either at work, it's to far for the pay and not worth the drive, or it's to late in the day. This is the worst gig app I've tried so far and I paid $45 for a background check while waiting months for onboarding. Pissed is an understatement!!
Having to pay at least 49$ for a background check is absurd. I've NEVER had to pay for background checks. Other apps don't charge! There is no promise of making any money or getting any projects. My background is spotless so seriously where's the incentive to pay first? I don't want to hear some excuse about covering costs. Goshare is the company so it's on them to cover the costs of doing business or factor that into the business model. I'd be a 1099 independent contractor so I say nope.
This app is utterly useless, especially when you pay $40 for a "background check". It's a push notification system with a 30 second countdown to accept a job, and I don't think they scan for gig bots. You get a notification, and the job offer is gone within just a few seconds, giving you no chance to accept anything. They can't blame it on the phone either. My phone is less than 6 months old, and I have 5G service with a major carrier, in a major metropolitan area. Format needs to be changed.
Longest "on-boarding" process Ive ever had to go through just to not even be able to pick up a job offer. They do come in, but when they do, said job offer is immediately snatched up. One cannot even finish reading the info before you get hit with a "this offer is no longer available" notice. More time is definitely needed to be able to process job info before accepting, otherwise you take a risk of being hit with a fee for not being able to fit items in your vehicle. The App needs a huge update
It doesn't crash, customer service is great, and deliveries pay decently. I'm not sure why people rated this app low. This is the only one (of MANY gig apps) that doesn't crash, etc. Sometimes, the notes aren't clear, but that's not GoShare's fault. I've had a few issues or didn't know where to go because of instructions. A client did yell at me, but mostly they're pleasant. The start-up costs are a bit much, considering other apps usually are free. But GoShare's less for couriers than trucks.
I love the fact that their customer service and support are very accessible and aware. Overall it's a great app if you're doing cargo van/truck and above or if you are on a solo job. The most frustrating thing with this app is if you are a helper the drivers rarely communicate with you. When I'm assigned as help, I always reach out. I call, text and try to sync up our ETA, but 9/10 leads like to go when ever they like(early) without saying anything to the helper. I've lost a lot of money, gas,⌚
Don't receive enough projects and when I do receive one it isn't worth while. charges you for cancelation within 5 minutes, but won't charge the vendor for canceling within the same amount of time. This app isn't enough to cover fuel costs. If you make it to the green acceptance and hit accept it will say the project is no longer available. I'll be deleting this worthless platform soon. so after leaving a negative review Goshare has quietly deactivated my account without notice. not surprised!
First of all, the pay for the loads are too low especially compared to competing apps. Cargo van loads are few and far between but the pay seems decent. However, the distance to go pick up the load is at least 30 minutes away and then you have to figure if it's worth the cost of fuel to travel an hour round trip. I've also noticed that the loads will be claimed when I go to look and possibly claim the load myself after I was just notified about the load. I've decided to delete this app.
I have completed about 20 jobs now in a few months. (Pay can be decent) A warning dont accept a job If it's possible it won't fit in your vehicle, they charged me a $30 dollar cancel fee when I couldn't fit the item in my suv. The job paid less than 30 to begin with. Also, I showed up to pick up tires, and the order was canceled. I received 9 dollars compensation. I spent more on fuel and 2 hours total between driving and the many phone calls to receive the 9 bucks!
With it being my first project I must admit walking into Lowes I had no idea where to go. The only information that was given was a brief description of the item, no name that went with or anything. Once the CSR starting playing with the app (that had me worried, thought it may mess me up somehow) she was able to see the order number and things just fell into place after that, we even saw a name. Delivery went smoothly and everyone was happy. So I guess I need to learn the app a little better..
Hello, you guys need to update your toll submissions in the app. Everything is easy pass now I don't get receipts I get statements and that's hard to upload. Your app should automatically know when we have to go through a toll and reimburse us that way. Accepted projects and they take them away and give it to someone else. Never can get in touch with customer service.
Terrible interface. Look elsewhere. FAR too many times, the timer ends, I click the "Accept" button, and I get a message that this project is no longer available. And I LITERALLY cannot click on the project notification any sooner. At least that's the case when the app doesn't automatically log me out and I need to manually log back in & answer a CAPTCHA all while I'm trying to compete for a job! Do better, GoShare!!!
