Reviews for Gospel Library

This app is very organized and has a TON of resources on learning more about the Savior. If I can't find something, the search bar and filtering options makes it easy work. The only ad I've ever seen is a banner across the home page for the book of mormon app (just the book no other resources). So I can have uninterrupted studying with great options for note taking and linking other sources. It's very nice.

So, I rarely have issues on my phone now. major improvement from 6 yrs ago. But as I was studying, I had the thought that, the ability to add pictures to our notes would be wonderful. I hope that that will become possible in the future. Especially since you have now linked the pictures inside the app. Also, other options for marking/highlighting passages would be great. ie circling and boxing passages, starring important passages, other possible colors. That way we can mark topics by color.

Why did you remove the choice for app-wide theme color options and replace it with light pink on white? [Edited: Ah, now it's light grays and blue. Much better than the pink. But still would like a choice.] Why the huge spacing between items on my study plans? It's only showing four or five items at a time. That forces a lot of scrolling when there's 500 items on the study plan list.

This is great for any kind of gospel study. You don't have to deal with advertisements, the only popups show new update info right when you open it (and only once after an update), and when it comes to actually studying and navigating it is rather easy for the most part because everything is sorted neatly, you can open multiple tabs for side by side study, you can see cross references and make personal notes. I highly recommend it. The only changes I'd like is a better search engine.

I love this app. It is just more convenient when you can't carry the actual book. Whether you're on your phone or in the book you feel the holy spirit. I like the app because if you are struggling to understand something you can easily find it in the topical guide or in the index or anywhere! When you need uplifting or just words of encouragement, yes the scriptures are there, but so is general conference talks and the written speeches. There are lessons for adults and children. Theres music. ❤

I love the app and having such easy access to Gospel resources. However, I really dislike updating it because it deletes all of the screens I have open. I use this to keep track of things for different classes and groups so if they could find a way to keep all of the screens active during an update, that would be fabulous. I also wish the scripture footnotes didn't cover the screen. I remember when you could pull them up below the text so you could follow along with them as you read.

The app is the very best. A single place to read and learn almost everything of the church. I have a suggestion: When in come follow me for example, you click a scripture link and it pull up a quick view of the scripture. I feel like it would be even more convenient to be able to highlight from here, instead of needing to go to the actual scripture page. It's small, but I think would be great! (Also if the text would auto scroll or follow with the audio as an option would be amazing!) Thank you

Best for scriptures. As long as there is internet. I listen while I drive but the audio doesn't play without service. I also go camping where there is no service and would love to listen while doing other things. Also, while on a tablet, when wanting to bookmark something, the bookmark only goes to the verse that starts at the top of the screen. The verses after do not scroll to the top. Unless there is a way to do it that I'm not finding. So great app. Please find a way to listen offline. Thx

Such an awesome app. You have so much doctrine, teachings, books, magazines, videos, music, etc all centered around Christ all in one app. Admittedly all that can be overwhelming to someone who is not familiar with the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints but for a member it's amazing. Now this app may be too much for your phone but it does depend on how much you download within that library. The app tends to glitch a little bit too but the pros far out way the cons.

This is the best app you ever download. It has everything. Inspiring music, scriptures, inspiring magazines, activities for children, inspiring videos, suggestions to make your scripture study better (like come follow me), interesting pioneer stories (like Saints), and study plans are only a small handful of the many things on here. If you download everything on the app it will take up more than twice your entire phone space. Don't do that because you'll want to due to how great the app is.😂

Great but a built in dictionary for Android users would be appreciated. Something say that I don't have to go out to Google for a where I don't know. Organization of tabs and windows could be better mapped out, it gets cumbersome. The back button doesn't work right. If I go from the gospel topics page, for example, to one of the links in that page, then hit the back arrow in the app, it takes me to the app's home screen!

There is a multitude of wonderful in the gospel libray app. I love being able to highlight scriptures or parts of general conference talks and then others to a variety of personal folders and notes. I do wish if we are reading something in the scriptures and then go to a general conference talk or another person of the library I wish the place where we were at could be saved! Kindle has this future but this app does not. As a result, you have to remember where you are when you go to a different part of the LDS Gospel Library. Being able to keep your place where you are reading would be a helpful feature to consider adding, as many of us probably bounce between various places in the Gospel Library app!

Awesome. Can you please add a feature that lets you select which tags you want to see, if any, at any given time? That way we can read the scriptures with a new purpose each time, add new tabs based on that purpose, and choose to ONLY see that tag, as if we wrote our special notes in a new hard copy each time and can grab that one copy to see what our highlights were. Otherwise we must click on every note we've ever made in the past 10+ years to see if any have the tag I am looking for. Thanks!

Good app! Use it every day. But there is an issue that is annoying . If you are listening to a talk or music on a Bluetooth device, and you turn off the Bluetooth device, the audio will continue to play on your phone. With almost every other app the audio stops when you disconnect Bluetooth. (This issue is annoying because I like listening to things on gospel library while walking to work using my wireless headphones. I always have to remember to pause the audio before taking my headphones)

It's great! I love the changes that are being made and wish there was an option for a feature request. Bednar often teaches the importance of studying the book of Mormon with a goal in mind so I would love to see the option to have your personal bookshelf with multiple copies of the book of Mormon that you can title whatever you would like(ex. Faith, Hope, Revelation) and your notes and markings would be specific to that copy. Having a copy in different languages as well. Switching is tedious.

I love this app and use it everyday. However, I just got a new phone and when I signed in, my study plans didn't sync. So, I had to input all my study plans by hand. It's kind of a petty complaint, but it seems like something that should be connected to the account rather than the device. Maybe I did something wrong? All my bookmarks synced up though, I'm very grateful for that!

I miss having the ability to highlight footnote letters in the text. This was broken on the android version nearly a year ago and it doesn't appear any efforts to fix it have been made I have used the app for my personal study for over 10 years now and other than this one broken feature, it is absolutely the best. I always have my library and study notebooks with me.

For the most part I like the app and it provides great resources for gospel study. However, since the last update I have noticed that info I put in that is Ward specific is not showing up. For example the hymns for Sunday. As music coordinator I had the hymns and they show up on my phone but no one else can see them. if I try looking at them on my tablet it says they aren't entered. is this a glitch or what? other than that, love it.

Gospel Library is fantastic and it gets better and better. In the last little bit when reading something and marking it, the highlights jump around and are slightly off (about a half of line) from what should be highlighted. Also at the bottom of the conference talks the tags are over the top of the last paragraph of the talk making it difficult to read. Sometimes if I go out and back in a few times they'll go to the very bottom, but not very often.

Love this app, helps me to be on my scriptures without the physical ones. It also gives me a bunch of different music, and I love that. But, WHY have a lot of the youth themes been DELETED!? (I wish I could do 4.5 out of 5) I seriously love this app, just the only problem I have is that most of the youth themes have been deleted.
