I use the free version when riding my motorcycle. When I open the app I see an ad. When I try to exit the app it shows me an ad. The free app provides speed, distance, and time elasped. You can pause the app, for stops or breaks. It has a built in map, and will plot where you have traveled. It saves the history of each trip. It displays the dashboard in multiple formats. I wish the app had the ability to plot a route and save it, for reference while taking a trip. The speed it shows is accurate.
Reviews for GPS Speedometer – Odometer App
I would have given this app probably 4 to 5 stars last summer and this spring. I logged over 1200 miles on my quad. I tear it apart and refurbished it all summer. I open the app to go for the maiden ride after getting it back together and it's charging me to use it. weekly. it sucks because I really liked it. I'll find another free one though.
The “GPS Speedometer” app stops automatically after covering only 1 km of distance. Because of this, it fails to show the total distance traveled when reaching the destination. The app also contains too many ads, which interrupt the user experience. Please review and fix this issue, or take appropriate action to ensure better performance and reliability.
Enhance the GPS speedometer app with fuel tracking. The app operator manually enters vehicle details like car tank capacity, mileage/average, etc. Fuel consumption is calculated using GPS-traveled distance and vehicle mileage. Users can manually refill fuel or reset journeys. The app shows remaining fuel, estimated range, total distance, speed, and average speed in real time. Data syncs with location and speed, providing accurate tracking and insights without extra hardware, useful for personal.
After wasting six minutes disabling the cookies the greedy developer wants to install on my phone, I was able to use the app. It is swarming with ads that are very hard to close, as the button is tiny and very hard to press. The app does not show the instant speed, althought it has all the permissions it asked for. It shows a brief after ending the trip, but the average speed is always 0. It is useless for me.
All this app had to do to satisfy me was to display a single number, my current speed. It failed. Had to fight my way through ads, a premium subscription (for an odometer!) and endles permission requests. When I finally got to the main UI, it was just stuck at 0 km/h. I made sure I had my GPS turned on and the app has permission to use it, yet still nothing.
I had to spend 5 minutes trying to go thru setup while trying to get through the intrusive ads, you can't use it without turning on notifications. I start driving and the ap randomly starts beeping every second, Im on the highway and have to pull over. I spend another 5 minutes trying to figure out why it's beeping, close all my apps still beeping. have to reboot my phone to stop it, so I only open this app to be sure it was the problem and the beeping starts again as soon as I start driving.
I'll give it 5 stars, other than the ads at the beginning (which with a simple click can disappear), it's a really useful and fun app I use on my bike everywhere I go. I can track my speed and location easily and see how far I've gone plus the odometer for overall travel. I've got this app installed on both my work and personal phone for bike riding. This app had also helped me figure out my absolute pedaling top speed of 37mph with my current chain and gear setup.
I wanted to like it, it kept opening Facebook and Chrome. But the worse part I could not switch to other apps, if I went to home on my phone then couldn't switch to other apps or even get this GPS app back up! And since it is running I cannot switch to any apps 20 minutes later. I even un-installed and still cannot switch to other apps. Going to restart my phone. I hope phone works again after. :-(
Great app for old vehicles with a broken speedometer. There is only 2 ads one when you open the app and one when you hit start trip but never have I had an add pop up while I was driving even in longer drives (I've been using this app for months now) and it's accurate I've tested it in a couple vehicles that do have working speedometers and it's pretty much spot on.
