Software is horrible. Can't even do basic things quickly. Can't even block youtube or Tiktok, any specific sight on a per user basis. Even though I'm in a specific user, if I block a site, it blocks for all users. Ridiculous. Isn't that the reason to have separate profiles. I should be able to select any device and disable internet connection immediately or scheduled. Software is klunky and not intutive at all. These basic tasks should be in the forefront and blatantly easy. Horrible

I've hardly had any issues with the app, let alone the router. But this last update, is ridiculous. The app stays stuck on the Gryphon logo. Then when it finally gets into the main menu. I get an error stating that my phone isn't connected to the Internet. When I'm clearly looking at the WiFi bar on my phone. Y'all need to fix the bugs otherwise I'm cancelling my membership this coming November. 🤷🏽‍♀️

The app update does not allow you the change all of the previous settings. Mainly homework/ bed time. I previously had bed time set at 8 and could easy extend with a click of a toggle when my kids needed more time. When the app updated it says there is unlimited time with no way to adjust the previously set up bed time. So I have no way to add time for them. I reached out but to no reply. I am very frustrated and disappointed, not as frustrated as my kids. Be warned use at your own risk.

The app worked great for the first 60days or so. It stopped working 3 weeks ago now and I'm not getting support from Gryphon to fix the issue. It has not updated any data since Dec 12th. I've done the basics of checking I have the latest version, I've uninstalled and reinstalled, etc. Nothing is fixing it. I've been waiting for a callback from support for a couple days now. I think until they update with a new version, I'm just out of luck.

Would really love it if I didn't have to close and restart the app every time I make a single change. The glitches are really ridiculous. Every time I open the app it tells me the session has timed out...timed out from what, I JUST opened it!?! Clearly this has been going on for months too since every review since mid-November is saying the same thing. Hopefully an update comes out soon with a fix because right now, I'm not sure this is worth my money or time to continue using Gryphon.

App is slow, and sometimes has errors for the status of a device or person being managed. So, a person showing that they're back online, won't actually have access. It's also very difficult to remove old devices. We in an AirBnB and collect tons of new devices on the router... We end up needing to remove them one by one, very very slowly.

Support said that my Wi-Fi router wouldn't work through theirs but it seems to work ok I bought an extra wireless booster before I knew about this product despite the complexity of getting it up and running once it goes it seems to be working good 👍 my one qualm is that you have to block anything you don't want there's no limitation of time instead for specific apps and websites 😕 I have an experience any problems with the app. Make sure you plan out accordingly

POS App. I can "suspend" a user, they still access the internet. I can "suspend" a single device, it still connects to the internet. I can "suspend internet", and it doesn't stop any WiFi....what is the point if you can't control the internet with it?! That was the reason I spent over $200 for this router! UPDATE: Over 2 years later with NO response from the company, they send an email and want me to "pay" for the service?! IT DOESN'T WORK! Only reason I still use it is because it cost me $$$.

Great product, horse &#% app. The parental controls on the router are amazing, and the ability of the router to handle my network and all devices are the best I've had. That being said, the app sucks... Users don't always show up, the usage times glitch, showing unlimited time left when there is a set amount, or showing no internet time used when the web log clearly shows usage. I would love to see custom splash pages when internet is turned off.

It's real easy to break the internet to devices with this app. We have set a user to Middle School age. Which I think it shouldn't block Microsoft or Steam applications from working. It's a pain to sort out what can be allowed through. Also the app doesn't recognised some devices that reconnect because I think they don't have the same up address ever. But that might be an issue with how some devices work. Majority of them are Apple devices or other laptops or chromebooks.

The old interface wasn't great, but at least it worked. The new interface is a major step backwards. Mostly because it doesn't work. User's show blocked in the app when they aren't, you've got to refresh multiple times to be sure. Schedules don't work sometimes. I catch my kids watching TV when it should be paused (and my App says it is). I want Gryphon to work very badly. I think, from a technical standpoint, building this into the router is the right way to do it. Disney Circle's workaround seems hackish, but at least the device actually does what it's supposed to. Very frustrating.

This system is overall quite easy to use and excellent. Set up was quick and easy with no problems. It's very intuitive and not at all difficult to set parental restrictions. I only rated it 4 stars because it says you can block specific sites from being accessed and while it does block most that you enter, there's like 2 or 3 that I've input in different ways and it does not block access. That's really the only issue, other than the occasional can't gain access to your Wi-Fi to make changes.

While I LOVE the concept, it has been frustrating. The app freezes up constantly. I have to uninstall and reinstall often. Then it still doesn't work. I have to physically unplug the router for 20 seconds often. My app kept saying my family computer was "suspended" but we were able to access the internet on it all day long even after I had done both of the things mentioned above. Customer service had no answers. I am almost done which is sad because I really wanted this to work.

We've had Gryphon since COVID to help manage our kids' screen time. While it's great in concept, the reality of how this app works just ends up creating way more headaches than it solves. There's a black box of how it categorizes other apps and websites that is impossible to figure out sometimes. Our kids all use Google Classroom, so you can't put any limits on any Google products without impacting their school work. I live the idea of the "homework" setting, but we can't seem to make it work.

Horrible router. 8 year old tp-link router I had before this was much faster. Now my Wi-Fi system is not only much slower but is also inconsistent, drops connections and transmits about 1/2 the distance as before. Worst router I've ever owned BY FAR! And I keep getting emails from Gryphon asking me to send them more money for a subscription!

Daily battles with this app (and therefore my kids, which this app was supposed to solve). Does not accurately report user status, inconsistently saves changes to schedules. Blocks when it's not supposed to, allows when it isn't. Very difficult to get a sense of how Internet is being used when every ping by a service (e.g. grammarly) is listed as a separate activity, and you can't even filter it out. Does effectively block Internet, but a total hassle.

Worthless. Usually it doesn't even work. Bedtime settings rarely turn off the internet, I have to go into the app manually and shut it off. Any search for help takes you to a faq page that explains why you should buy one of their overpriced routers... it's also interesting that the app asks me often to rate them but if I rate it low, it won't let me submit the review. EXTREMELY not user friendly, app is very hard to navigate and does not allow much control over internet usage. STAY AWAY.

Just bought a Gryphon for first time. I've got 3 girls and 1 non-binary teen. As an IT Admin in my day job, the UI is nice and makes sense and it's all relatively easy/straight forward to setup. However, I've already started to experience a couple drops across all network devices in less than 24 hrs. But my biggest complaint is the app itself, SUPER BUGGY! I frequently get the "Request Timed Out" message which seems to be meaningless. It also freezes up sometimes and won't save changes.

App crashes after a recent update, somewhere around two days ago. Now, whenever i open the app, it just closes (crashes). As a result, i have no way to manage the router. I suspect the new version is no longer compatible with my phone. My phone is about 4 years old, and I have had this app constantly installed for most of that time. It would be great to have a secondary remote access option, such as a webpage, when these situations occur. Additionally, i couldn't reach customer support.

If I could give this app zero stars, I would. It's absolutely terrible. I don't know why Gryphon won't allow access to the router via PC. The app won't hold changes and improperly reports which devices are online. Half the time, requests time out and I have to input the changes again. There is no documentation and you have to depend on chat with a rep to resolve anything. The app accumulates unknown devices that are ridiculous to remove.
