I got the gusto spending card hoping to get paid two days early and I did not. Following that I learned all of their atms are located in Kansas, as I tried to look for one on my app and they were literally just in Kansas. If you want to send money to your real bank account you have to pay a fee and wait 3 days. Good luck trying to keep a balance on your debit or credit card. You'll end up in more debt.
Reviews for Gusto Mobile
You can't see the amount for your upcoming paycheck, which is ridiculous. That needs to be improved. The app is good with easily being able to slit your check into different account though. Other than that it's pretty useless. Why can't you see how much you're going to be paid a couple of days before your pay day?? Plus you have tons of 1-2 stars for your app, why aren't y'all listening and improving your app Gusto?
The app randomly crashes, so that's a good impression. As a payroll service, they purposely prevent early deposits unless you use their bank. Overall, it's great for small companies but their website is full of ads pushing their own products. For the most part, though, the layout design on both the website and app is very clear.
The app is whatever, but this pay system is trash. I've never been paid so late, every time, with any other pay service a company uses. You can not even rely on it being late the same time regularly. If you're employer uses this service, just have them give you the check, you'll likely get it sooner than using direct deposit. They can't deposit your funds on time to your current bank, but if you open an account with them, you can get it two days sooner, a very shady way to get customers.
I've used a few pay apps in my time and this has been subpar. I don't like that you cannot view your paycheck stub until the day of payday and not even first thing it's like midway through the day. I know when our payroll gets processed so the fact that it takes almost a week to update that part is frustrating. It makes budgeting impossible. I also hate how my check comes at the end of the day. I've never ever ever worked a job that delivers paychecks so late and it's this app not my employer.
Super buggy! If your employer has this app, quit your job and go elsewhere. I decided to do my taxes on the app because I keep getting emails to save money by using it. While following the prompts, I keep getting notifications that I timed out and have to sign back in, less than a minute after I signed in. Also, keep getting notifications to reboot the app. Well... guess what? I'm not going to be doing my taxes on Gusto.
If I could give 0 stars I would. My new job is using this app for payroll, but holy stinky cheeks is if bad. It refuses to accept my bank account info for Direct deposit, and throws unhelpful errors when I try to transfer the balance out of the app. I would be more generous if there was any help whatsoever. You'd think dealing with people's money they would have an easy to access in app help line. They do not. I had to dig deep to find any line of contact that wasn't the "FAQs" Stay away.
If i could give zero stars i would. It is a horrible app. And even worse for payroll. On payday, on direct deposit, you don't get paid until the end of the business day. Then their location services for clocking in is always off and causing issues. It is a software issue, i have one of the best phones on the market currently. And this is the only app that is acting up with location. Actually i would give negative stars if you could give negative stars. Wouldn't recommend to anyone.
App rarely works even if its up to date. Constantly getting "An unexpected error occurred" when trying to log in so you have to use a browser not the app anyway. It keeps you logged in for less than 10 minutes which is extremely annoying even with the "remember me" option selected. The time card is annoying to access and hard to edit times later on.
Your application is horrible. I've never seen a payment application that pays you "sometime before 5pm." Imagine if I told my boss I'll be in "sometime Monday before 5pm. " I've already missed one bill that's automatic withdrawal. I've never seen a payment application that only pays on time if you get their debt card. Your application makes making ends meet just a bit harder, and if I could give it 0 stars I would.
