Description
Been using Harry’s LapTimer Petrolhead for a couple months now. It’s basically an app that records all kinds of sensor data from your phone (or external sensors) to help you analyze your driving and optimize your track times. Pretty solid app if you’re into that kind of thing.
Here’s what you do: you can set up over 800 preset racing tracks and it’ll automatically time your laps using GPS. There’s also features to track your daily commute and see how you can improve your drive times. Took me a while to figure some of that out but it’s pretty useful.
Look, if you’re into tracking your car’s performance and trying to shave seconds off your lap times, you’ll probably like this. It’s not perfect – the setup can be a bit finicky at times – but overall it does the job. Worth checking out if you’re a real petrolhead.
Editor Opinion
So here's my honest take on Harry's LapTimer Petrolhead. I've tested a bunch of car tracking apps and this one's pretty solid. The data visualization is great and I like how it covers more than just track driving - you can use it to optimize your daily commute too. On the downside, the initial setup is a bit of a pain and some of the more advanced features are not quite intuitive. But if you're willing to put in the time, it's a really powerful tool for car enthusiasts.
