Been using the Hartford Courant app for a couple months now. It’s basically a news app that gives you all the latest headlines, sports scores, and entertainment coverage from the local paper. Pretty solid if you’re a CT resident who wants to stay on top of what’s going on around town.

There’s a bunch of features – you can save articles to read later, get push notifications for breaking news, and even access the full digital version of the newspaper. It’s got a nice clean layout and the articles load quick. Took me a bit to figure out how to customize the different news sections though.

Look, if you’re into local news and don’t mind a few ads, you’ll probably like this app. It’s not perfect – the ads can get a little annoying – but overall it does the job of keeping you informed. Worth checking out if you live in the Hartford area.

So here's my take on the Hartford Courant app. I've tested a bunch of local news apps and this one's pretty solid overall.
