Installed it on aftermarket HU, using Pixel 9 Pro. Connection type with HU hotspot and wifi launcher app on phone. Works great, i just have to turn off and on wifi in order to get it casting even though phone is instantly connected to HU hotspot. Only thing that bugs me is searching in google maps on HU, not possible but only over phone. Also layout cant be changed to split screen between music app and map, there is no option for this, only one or the other but easily accasable by 1 click on HU
Reviews for Headunit Reloaded Emulator HUR
Bought this for my Android head unit because the default Android Auto app that came with it stopped working and this worked right away. It even works faster. The only odd thing I've noticed is it seems to be a little inaccurate with Google maps. I'll have to mess with it some more but it's great so far.
App works well for me and developer notes are thorough. For sure works well on cable. Had a hard time sorting why phone calls wouldn't go through stereo until I toggled off the 'Enable audio sink' setting. This setting will utilize phone wired to stereo Aux. For my 98 4runner I use a Galaxy S9+ and a 2013 7" Samsung Tab 3 tablet. I purchased micro usb to usb c elbow, usb c to dual usb a, mount, and a 40W dual usb c charge power for cig lighter. Everything charges and works well. Well done app!
Excellent app. The trial version didnt work for me but the paid version did. Ive been enjoying this now for several weeks. Note - If youre having issues getting the app to connect to your phone, go into the settings. There is an option to show a force connect button in the notifications. When it doesnt connect, just press that button...
Amazing! I had one of those overpriced adapters that started going out...even when it worked, it was slow. Your app fired up the first time and has been rock solid. Quick to launch and more flexibility with connection methods, screen size, etc. Thank you so much!
The beta (V4.6-beta3) version of the app has fixed all of my previous issues. The app now works correctly and as intended. It does occasionally disconnect randomly and I sometimes have to unplug my phone and plug it back into my android radio unit as the music sometimes will fail to play on the first connection. However the overall connection is generally stable enough that I can use it for most of my car rides (20-40 minutes on average). If there is a fix to the occasional disconnect (which appears to be an issue with the latest android auto app) I would love to test it out.
What a great APP! I purchased an aftermarket Chinese headunit for my 2016 Audi A6. The HU did not come with Android Auto but with Apple Carplay. I tried for several weeks to find a mirroring app to no avail. Then, I accidentally stumbled across this app. Downloaded the trial version, not impressed and on a whim, I bought the full version and it blew me away! I followed the instructions and viola! Android Auto! Thank you so very much! You saved me from having regrets of purchasing the Chinese HU!
Okay, so since everyone seems to have issues with Android Auto version 4.7 and they refuse to release an update to fix the fact a lot of phones are refusing connection due to it and won't fix it until version 4.8. I found a work around you should not have to do since you paid for the app but plug the phone in first then restart it while plugged in. Android Auto will start up automatically and you'll have to do that every time you start the car. I've dealt with this since both apps got updated.
In theory, it sounds amazing for those who have Toyotas that don't offer AA. However, it is quite glitchy. Not only do I usually have to restart my phone for each use, but it won't connect to my car's bluetooth when I tether my phone to my Fire tablet 8. It only will connect to bluetooth audio for music or Google Maps or Waze. I would like to get bluetooth calls. I also have HFP on my rav4 2019, so I shouldn't have an issue. Please help and I will give a better rating.
Rarely if ever can I get this to connect any more. When it works, to it's incredible. For me, that's maybe a quarter of the time or less now, even though all my hardware and other software is unchanged from what used to work perfectly. I've finally given up altogether and am uninstalling this. I strongly advise not buying it, as the developer abandoned it over a year ago and has left it in beta status to prevent negative reviews without first having to leave the beta which most won't realize.
