The app uses fun, game-based lessons to help you pick up the language quickly. There’s over 2,000 video lessons with real Chinese speakers, plus tons of stories and conversations to read at your level.

Here’s what you do: you go through these bite-sized lessons that cover everything from basic greetings to more advanced stuff. The video content is high-quality and the stories are actually interesting to read. Compared to some other Chinese apps, this one feels a lot more beginner-friendly and polished. The only real downsides are that it can get repetitive after a while, and the ads can be annoying if you don't pay. But overall, I'd highly recommend HelloChinese if you want to learn Chinese in a fun, engaging way.
