this is a great app. tracking workouts is fun and easy, and the feedback from the app is motivational. one important feature they absolutely nailed is the ease with which I can find exercises. for example, searching "strict press" or "military press" will find what hevy calls this exercise, overhead press. overall a wonderful app and I'll be subscribing to pro soon

This app has been an excellent tool for my fitness journey. About six months ago I decided to start lifting weights seriously to build muscle. This app allows me to create custom workout routines that fit my goals and to track my sets, reps, and weight for every exercise. It also provides a lot of motivating stats and encouragement at the end of my workouts. I highly recommend this app to anyone who wants to accurately track their workout progress. I do not use any of the social sharing aspect.

I've been using hevy for a year now, and its by far my favorite workout tracking app. I've used my gyms app, strong, another app that I don't remember the name of, my notes app, and notebook tracking. hevy is easiest to use and has the best options for exercises and you can add your own if its not in there. gives you a year end data like a spotify wrapped.

It's much better than the paper log I started out with. I don't use the social functions much and have pared it down to just myself and a pair of friends. I do wish there was a way to compare entire workout sessions against each other but I haven't found that functionality in the app or the desktop site. My friends do think the muscle group highlight dummy is terrifying like Blucifer in Denver. But for everything I need in the gym this works well. It could use a better tour though.

Honestly, this is one of the best workout apps I've used so far. Not because it's jam-packed with features but instead because they don't force you into a subscription model just to do simple things (they even have a permanent option). It lets you do all the things the average gym bro needs to do to track their workouts all for free and if you want to go beyond that then you can pay for premium. It even has a whole social media tab to share your workouts and progress. tldr: Great app 👍

Simple. Easy and I have yet to not find an exercise in the database. One of the best features is even after I set a routine, I can switch out exercises without changing the routine. Also, of a machine or bench isnt available, swapping out an exercise for a other is the easiest process I've seen in any app. Same thing with putting together supersets.

This a perfect app to start tracking your workouts. The UI is really simple and after the first try, you want to keep going to your routines and editing them and adding more. I love the help in case of trying out a new workout. It shows you how it should be done. I use this app almost every day (I have to be more disciplined, I know) but trust me that this app is a must if you're trying to push to the next level of your fitness journey.

Really good app! I applaud the developers in making this app so focused on inclusion of as many exercises as possible. I love the ability to make and log your own routines while inputting the exact amount of sets, reps, and occasionally other useful information. This app does a good job of helping you record, analyze, and push your workouts to their limits. The reason I didn't give this 5 stars may seem stingy, but I'm a sucker for open-source software, which this sadly isn't. Great app though!

This app is outstanding. It has its flaws and they can be really annoying. At least two machines are missing on the list and is not easy to add something "more or less the same" and rename it and then next session find it easily. And the sync with the watch is really bad. Once you are at the gym you dont want to waste time with your phone or tech you want to do your routine. Sadly if you start the routine in your watch is super hard to change exercise and you cant switch to your phone.

Love it! I use this app every time I go to the gym. It tracks all of my workouts and progress really well. Its really rewarding to look back on my progress and see how much im lifting. There is almost no lift it doesn't have for you to add to your routines. I love how personalized I can make it such as adding notes, different rest times, etc... I wish I could add more workout routines than just 4 but its all I really need. I also wish more people were on the app!

EDIT (9/30/2025): can no longer log workouts between on the watch during an active workout. EDIT (7/10/2025): after the previous update this app has some serious delay on tapping things. Fantastic app. Main thing id like to request is integration into the apple and samsung health apps so that workouts are tracked in those apps along with calories burned. For tracking lifts its great and very easy to use.

I really like this app because it is exactly what I am looking for and it is not heavily behind the paywall. Plus, I enjoy looking at the progress of me and my friends workout. Adding a photo of workout progress after the session is pretty neat to add. The only thing I have issues with this app that there's some exercises that isn't being listed and tutorials is kinda limited to understand.

This app shows me that a lot of thinking was done when making it. I feel very motivated even when I haven't been able to be constant. it doesn't show your failures but your gains. It keeps things positive and goal oriented. It's easy to use and has lots of routines for when you don't have your own or simply want to change things one day (period week or something). I love it. Also, it connects perfectly with my smart watch.

Really solid app. I’ve been using it to track all my workouts, and it’s made things way easier. I can log my sets, reps, and weights, and see my progress over time. Super helpful for staying consistent. It’s also nice just having everything in one place—no more messy notes or trying to remember what I did last time. If you're trying to keep your fitness organized, this app does the job

Hevy is a game-changer for workout tracking! The interface is intuitive, making it super easy to log exercises, track progress, and customize routines. I love the detailed stats and graphs that show my strength gains over time. The community feature is a nice touch, letting me connect with friends for motivation. It syncs seamlessly with my devices, and the exercise library is massive, covering everything I need.

I use the monthly paid version ($2.99 a month), and it's exactly what I needed in a workout tracking app. Plenty of pre-loaded exercises with animations and how-to descriptions if you need a reminder, plus the ability to create custom exercises. I also enjoy being able to take a workout plan from the app and edit it as needed. Support is also responsive and timely!

The new update has degraded the app slightly. For timed exercises, in order to put in a time you now have to use a time wheel instead of direct input. I have no idea why they changed that. Also, for some exercises, like planks, it doesn't keep the time you selected last time for that exercise when you go to do it again, so you have to select a time again for each set.

For a beginner, this is the perfect app that offers all the basics of what you need in a simple and user-friendly product. Unlike other apps I don't find myself having to scroll through a lot of fluff. I also love the ability to add customized activities, and create notes that will stick to an app so I can remember specific advice. Lifetime purchase!

Amazing app. Though I use the free version, it's a great app! Even allowing you to create your own workout. Love the effective tracking of time, love how the timer starts as soon as you hit the checkmark, and the loud ring that let's you know when your next set begins. Plenty of already built in workouts, and an encouraging concept to highlight workouts with a personal record badge. This app is well put together, and runs smoothly. No need for any workout app.

not perfect. it doesn't have every possible exercise or every variation, but it does allow you to create exercises, and though the creation method isn't %100 comprehensive, it works with most exercises. also, it won't allow you to put more than two exercises in a single superset, which is slightly annoying, but doesn't really affect the results. overall not bad, and helps track improvement. edit-just found that I can only save 4 workouts and create 7 exercises until hitting paywall. down 1 star.
