Reviews for Hi-Q MP3 Voice Recorder (Pro)

The Dropbox sync functionality hasn't worked for at least a year. I sign onto Dropbox through the app and I click yes to allow all the permissions, and then it returns to the app and says "failed to get user info." Syncing to Dropbox was one of the main reasons I bought the pro version of this app so I have to give it one star. I'd love to know if there's something I have to enable on my Dropbox account to make it all work again.

Records for a while and then suddenly NO SOUND but still recording. I have missed important meeting details because of this!! No warnings and is hit or miss. Please fix! I found a possible "fix" for an earlier problem where the recording would error out... It was an app that had microphone usage that was interfering. I have a new problem now. Never had this problem with my beloved iPhone app! Thinking of possibly switching back... Buyers remorse.

I have loved this app for several years, because it has all the functionality that just about anyone would need to record high quality audio (depending on the quality of the device of course). In fact I actually use my cell phone's microphone as my primary recording mic for audio projects and then simply use the audio file this app records to put it into multitrack editing. I'm telling ya, I just love it! 👍

It's great. I bought a second time, actually. I bought it years ago, and within a year the app was deleted from the store and went back to basic. I've read that it was faked. Kept using the free one, love it, and figured I'll chime in another $2.99 is it goes to the right folks. Hope it stays up this time. Good, simple user interface. Solid quality.

I've been using this app for years. It's the best, especially if you have an idea and have an acoustic or if you're a vocalist or really for anything I recommend this app. It's the best, always better quality than the stock smartphone app, and you can save your ideas quick, like even when you have a song in your head and can hum it... Hit the record button and hum it so you won't lose it!

Wow! After exploring many recording apps this is the one that does it all for me. It records anything including streaming audio perfectly and with high quality and for as long as you want, and does it by default in mp3 format, saving it wherever you want, with easy renaming of the file. Set it save to your cloud storage and never again lose a file or lose access because the app glitches or disappears or you just want to switch apps. Your recordings are yours and any audio player can play them.

The premium allows you to record over 10 minutes of anything you want and I find this app absolutely priceless for recording on the spot new songs and the conversations. I would totally recommend it for anybody that is serious about recording spontaneously off your phone. You can also change the DB level to make it more or less sensitive depending on where you are and how loud the source is.

Excellent application . Provides all the necessary options that one would need for personal audio recording. Love that it has the option to choose between several bit rates and also increase decibel level if needed. It also provides the option to choose between MP3, M4A, WAV, OGG & FLAC formats. Also love the option of transferring it to online drives like Dropbox and Google drive. Have used it in several previous phones and this has worked flawlessly.

**UPDATE** App skips during recording now. Haven't seen an update in a long time so not much hope for a fix. Too bad This is a great app that saved me for simple voice recording. Multiple choice of format and can actually save to an SD card. The files can also be moved without issue. A lot of other recording apps have issues when trying to do these simple things, especially the default app. The only thing this could use is the ability to set your own folder that the recording saves to.

I have never had any issues with this app for 7 years and now all of a sudden I cant choose where to place any of my recordings? If you care about this app at all, give your users the option to choose where the download can go and what apps can access these recordings. This is ridiculous. For me to casually listen to these recordings, I have to upload it to dropbox and download it back to my phone. This is so much extra work for no actual reason
