Been using Highway Radar for a couple months now. It’s basically an app that helps you avoid speed traps, road hazards, and traffic cameras. Pretty solid if you spend a lot of time driving on the highway.
Here’s what you do: the app connects to a server that collects alerts from other users. So you’ll get real-time notifications about stuff like cops with radar guns, accidents, or road construction. There’s also a feature that warns you about low-flying aircraft, which is kinda cool. Took me a while to figure out how to use that one.
Look, if you drive a lot, you’ll probably like this app. It’s not perfect – the alerts can be hit or miss sometimes – but overall it does a good job of keeping you aware of what’s ahead on the road. Worth checking out, especially if you get speeding tickets a lot.

So here's my take on Highway Radar. I've tested a bunch of traffic alert apps and this one's pretty solid. The crowd-sourced notifications are helpful, and I like that it covers both speed traps and road hazards. The aircraft stuff is a nice bonus feature too. Doesn't always catch everything, but it's a useful tool to have. Honestly, it's better than some of the more expensive radar detector apps I've tried. If you do a lot of highway driving, I'd recommend giving this a download.

Great app! Integrates with R4w perfectly. Would like to add a suggestion. it would be nice to be able to setup over-speed alerts even if there are no active alerts.
Works well with uniden R4, can change settings much easier in the app than the detector menu itself. Also nice to have the alerts go through my cars system instead...
I just bought a new Uniden R8 radar detector and loaded and configured this app. The app saved me a big ticket in the first day! I was driving on...
