Description

I’ve been using Himalaya: Stories and Courses for a couple months now. It’s basically an app that has a bunch of inspirational audio stories and short courses on all kinds of self-improvement topics. Pretty solid if you’re into personal growth and development.

Here’s what you do: you can listen to a new motivational story every day, and there’s also a whole library of audio courses on things like productivity, relationships, mindfulness, and more. It’s got a nice variety of content from different experts and speakers. Took me a while to figure out how to navigate the courses, but once I got the hang of it, it’s been really useful.

Look, if you’re into apps that can help you learn and grow as a person, you’ll probably like this. It’s not perfect – the stories can get a bit repetitive after a while, and the app has some annoying ads. But overall it does the job and I’d recommend giving it a try.

Editor Opinion

So here's my honest take on Himalaya: Stories and Courses. I've tried a bunch of different self-improvement and personal growth apps, and this one is pretty solid. The audio stories are genuinely inspiring and motivating, and the course library covers a nice range of useful topics. I like that you can just listen on the go and pick up new insights. The app does get a bit repetitive after a while, and the ads can be annoying if you don't pay, but it's a really good free option if you're looking to work on your personal development.

I wanted to like this app. For a while it was the best damn podcast catcher out there. But the updates have ruined it. Notifications cannot be turned off. Ever....

Really good but managing the actual pod cast episodes is clunky. It would be a lot better and I would completely switch if it was easier. I don't want to...

There's so much missing here. I don't need saved playlists. I'm not going back and re-listening to hour long episodes in a particular order. I just need a single playlist...
