Whatever you do, don't subscribe to this app. I tried to cancel before my subscription renewed, and what I was seeing in the Play store was different from Hinge's cancelation instructions said. The Play store said my subscription was 'inactive' so I thought I was good. Come renewal day, I was charged $90. I contacted Hinge. They resent the same instructions that didn't work the first time. Contacted Play, they say "too bad, can't help you." You're taking a risk subscribing to this.

This is the only app where, after a month (paid subscription), I've received no likes and maybe 4 responses to my messages. I even opened up my profile a little as well, it's far from restricting. On all other apps, I have quite a few messages going. I was hoping Hinge might have a different subset of guys, but I guess I'm very wrong or something. I may be in contact with Hinge to ask for a refund - this has been such a waste.

I have had the app for 2 weeks and I've gotten one like and zero matches. This was even after purchasing the highest upgrade. Either they are Shadow banning my account or there's something wrong with the algorithm. I'm not trying to be egotistical or macho, I would just think that I would be more like or matches, especially if you are using the premium upgrades to send roses and messages. I've never received a like, rose or message. I assume females get to use those too. I'd give it zero ⭐

DELETES EVERY MATCH - FIX YOUR APP. This used to be a decent app, but for the last few weeks every time I get a match, my Matches still shows empty. I literally just replied to someone, the app froze and didn't post my reply and now when I go back in 5 seconds later, go figure, no matches. I get 1-2 matches a day and for the last few weeks, it's been a waste of time because the trash app doesn't list them. YOUR APP IS WORTHLESS IF IT CAN'T DO THE ONE THING YOU'RE SELLING IT TO DO. DO BETTER

I feel like this is the only app where people absolutely have to fill out their profile and put effort into it, and the only profile where I felt like I could look for something serious. I like the interface, like the profile setup, and I like how there is no swiping! The likes can come in and you can sift through them. The subscription model is super expensive and I don't see a point in it, otherwise I found my person on here! But it did take years of being on and off the app.

Terms of service account are terrible. I set up a profile and it was removed not even an hour later for violation of terms of service. basic pictures, simple responses to prompts. no messages sent nor matches. Appeal process pending. App seems to have issues and I can see from reviews in not the only one. fix your app.

Bought a week of premium and wouldn't you know it, I got matches that just never showed up prior to me buying it. However almost all of the matches I have gotten since my purchase have been bots. Outside of that, with how many people use the app I find it very hard to believe that theres nobody matching with me, making me think my profile just isn't being pushed. Hinge Plus or Premium just isn't worth it going off the trial run.

I do like the prompts as they help engagement more than simply swiping. That said this app it feels like has devolved. I used to get one or two matches a month, not a ton but it was a good rate for me and what I'm looking for. Feels like this year it took a downturn or I'm shadow blocked with zero notification. I haven't had more than two matches all year, it's nearly August now. Maybe I should just give up on apps at this point.

So before some updates that were done we actually could still filter by anything on the profile and being able to filter my language was open to anyone, It wasn't a premium feature or anything like that. after the update, not only did they get rid of it completely which basically got rid of the only filter I needed but also, made it so that it's harder to connect with people that communicate in the same language!!

I have enjoyed Hinge far more than the other options. BUT...the use of AI to summarize profiles is going to make me leave. AI really doesn't have to be used everywhere. Please remove the intros. it's so unnecessary and gives a very inauthentic feel to the profile. Personally, I hate it. Great app, successful way to meet romances and friends-but remove the AI intros component.
