Super simple and easy to use and understand. I love having a mass text app that sends INDIVIDUAL messages from MY NUMBER. It's awesome! Although I will say the interface is much better on my Android than on my husband's iPhone. I had no need for sending images or GIFs or anything so I can't speak to that.
Reviews for Hit Em Up: Mass Text Bulk SMS
← Back to Hit Em Up: Mass Text Bulk SMSLove the app. I have to send a lot of the same text to people I know. Instead of copying and pasting each text this app allows me to send individually from my own message app. Avoiding it coming across as spam because as I mentioned I personally know the people I text. It does have a few glitches though. Sometimes it will keep the original contact name I have for someone when it syncs with my phone.
This app is great unless you ever want to get a new phone. All of my text templates were lost, plus all of the messaging threads, plus my group contacts. And I have messaged several times for support and am just getting no response. It is one thing when it is free, but when you are paying for it, big drag.
Update: Have been able to work with Zak and get most of the contact issues solved. Terrible app and no customer service!!! The app pulled contacts from every email on my phone, which it never asked to do. Most are not phone numbers and cannot be used in the app. I have deleted them and they reload after I log out. I have emailed support and have gotten no help! I was told that they would keep all contacts backed up for precaution. I also asked for a refund & have been ignored
A quick way to communicate with your tribe. For a message to send later I could not edit the message before sent even though there was an edit button. Learning more how to use more efficiently as I go. I hope the payment I invested will be worth it. Can message more than 20 people which I like!
App doesn't work too expensive. They charge $12 a month will actually $12.99 plus tax per month to use the app. You still have to click on every single name to send it period when you open up chat support the app crashes period complete waste of money I still can't get it canceled.
Looks perfect but it keeps crashing before I can try it. Also can't get the "Helper" for Android. Very unfortunate.
Good app for daily ministry. Allows you to connect with individual church members at the same time, with the same message, but keeps responses private so as not to annoy others in the group who may need to view the text later due to work or being in the middle of something.
stopped working and I've been unable to reach support
Takes a little time to get used to. Learning curve as with anything technical. And I appreciate the fact that you have to send each text out one at a time, unlike a different product that I tried which wasn't even that good. And I got lucky that my cell phone company didn't flag me. Otherwise your cell phone company May flag you and not allow you to do any texting. I paid for a month and in three more months I'll pay for another month and do it again every 3 months. To me the price is very fair.
Great app to use, when it's actually NOT experiencing technical difficulties. Unable to use the app as often as I'd like due to consistently having bugs. Shuts down mid use, over and over and over & doesn't save where you left off. Makes it very difficult and frustrating as a small business owner. 😞
app kept crashing when I opened it up. after successfully scheduling messages, it didn't notify me. as promised and was not intuitive in how I could manually press send. when I did press send, it took around 30 seconds per message. I can do it manually greater than that.
Great fix for Android and it's nice when the tech chat guy listens. It took them about a week but my groups were recovered and they aren't disappearing when I log out anymore. So glad this is available and functional for my phone. I'd been a bit jealous for about a year cuz I wanted someway for connecting that came from my phone number. Only a month in now, feels so good!
Wasted time trying to figure it out... Not sure why they have the interface the way they do. I wanted to make a unique group of people who are not particularly in my phone contacts. There's nothing here but a screen demanding I connect to my phone contacts. I can't find a way around it. I finally let it which is the biggest mistake... Now my whole phone is in there. Went a few rounds trying to get it to do what I needed, and then finally just uninstalled it. Goodbye!
I really like Hit Em Up because I am able to send my Team the same text without putting them in a group text, and I can personalize each individual if I need to. However, the only thing I wish I could change is that I didn't have to hit the send button for all 35 of my members. Not to mention, my team is constantly growing so I know once it gets pass a certain amount I'm not going to want to continue pressing send for each member. Nevertheless, it's a vert good app.
If I could give this app zero stars, I would!! After paying for an entire year's subscription UPFRONT, three months later it is telling me that my subscription expired and I have no features! Like they took my money and ran!! Yes, I've contacted customer support, and they have NOT been able to resolve the issue after 24 hrs. BTW, this is not the first time I've had this same issue with this app.
Hi hello, this is actually not a complaint with the app. The app worked perfectly for what I wanted it to. This is just a warning that, I believe that my phone number was flagged as spam incorrectly, even though I individually sent 900 messages to previous clients. The app itself does what it's supposed to do, however, I do believe that the carriers may be flagging people who are sending mass texts and then turning their numbers off. I have been unable to use SMS since using this app.
Double charges, messages don't send, and no support! -I was paying monthly and was then prompted that my service had expired and I had to renew. I renewed for a year and was also then still charged monthly. -The fast text option doesn't work properly. Last time, I sent 140 messages and had to manually resend 86 of them. -I reached out for a refund of the double charges and was denied. Now, I'm stuck with this for a year and would not recommend wasting your money on it.
It's almost perfect... Works great: able to send to multiple contacts individually; however, when you hit send, you have to do that for each contact. When sending to a lot of contacts, this can be just as time-consuming as copying and pasting to each contact. It would be great if you could hit send once and it send each message at once. Then it would be 5☆ There was an app I used to use that did that, but it was removed...ugh.
So, I got this to send a mass text to my list and the automation or "Fast" text was what I wanted but it ultimately didn't work. All my numbers are correct. You have to download another additional app for the "Fast" version to actually work. tried multiple times but it times after the 2nd message and it forces you to hold onto the Send button with no clear instructions to release the held button. App freezes. Pain in the a**. Support is trying but hardly, after 3 days of "let us figure it out"
